New Haunts for this year!!

Yeah the Facebook page cited the WKYC article today. So it would seem that Fear Faire is indeed returning. The website was likely still being updated when it was pulled earlier this month.

Fear Faire is indeed gone according to Cedar Point when I asked Saturday while in the park.

Who confirmed it, the Lemon Chill Guy or some one else? I only trust the Lemon Chill Guy ;)

Wow. Yep, no doubt about it anymore. Maybe the Medieval theme will make a come back in another haunt attraction some day. I'm still hoping for another Egyptian theme at some point a la Pharaoh's Secret.

Looks like Valley Fair is using Dinosaurs Alive for a Zone. Maybe next year for us!

With that being said, Im happy with what we've gotten this year!

Nice catch! I think it is a great idea to re-use it, especially when they get to the point where they aren't really making any money from special trick-or-treat events, etc.

Tombstone TerrorTory....Is this the entire area between Wave Swinger, Tracks, and Train Station? Will there be non-zone walkways? Do you have to brave this zone to ride MineRide, Wave Swinger, Antique Cars, Maverick? Or won't they even be open? I imagine those rides may close, except maybe Maverick.

I don't think we will know for sure until they release official information, or until September 12th when it opens.

You will have to brave the cowboys, Bigmal :) i think the rides will be open, it would be silly to close all them on a crowded night, esp. a busy saturday...

About fear faire, I am not going to really miss that one, they never kept up on the props and theme, and it was too empty inside. Not many actors and too much fog for lack of props and scares.

^I agree about your feelings on Fear Faire 100%.

It was also the oldest outdoor haunt that hadn't had a refresh of any kind. It also seems possible depending on what they are planning to develop in that area that another outdoor haunt could be done after a remodel.

Does anybody else notice that they are only promoting Hexed Haunted House as a new haunted house yet they aren't saying anything about the Tombstone territory? I find it strange they aren't promoting it as much.

They had an entire paragraph about it in the press release:

"Cedar Point’s Frontiertown will transform into a ghost town after dark with the addition of the new Tombstone TERROR-tory. This terrifying new fright zone will leave those brave enough to travel through it with a new fear of ghosts. Tombstone Terror-tory will be the sixth outdoor fright zone, joining other haunted attractions such as Maniacal Mechanical ScreamWorks, CornStalkers, Cut Throat Cove, CarnEvil and Blood on the Bayou."

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I like some of the changes/new additions for this year!

Here are some thoughts:

1. Just based off these few pictures, Hexed looks like it will be extremely detailed and heavily themed. I can't wait to check it out.

2. There are some cool new props and decorations. I especially like the giant statue type things.

3. I'm so glad Howl-O-Palooza has changed locations. More people will see it since it's in a higher traffic area. Great kids' attractions and things to do.
