New for 2002

Breaking news. My uncle, who works for Cedar Point, just told me that CP will be building the worlds longest wooden roller coaster for 2002. It will travel around the entire park, with the station being between Gemini and Mean Streak. It will also have the most tunneled sections of any coaster. It's height will be 210 ft., not a record, but still impressive. It will utilize a new type of track that will be smoother than any wooden roller coaster to date. CP will make an official announcement in August.
First off anyone who believes that CP will build a coaster that wraps around the whole park is naive and second it would take forever to build that.
And it would cost too much and there is not room for it. And my sis works in the office (not telling her name and dept for her sake) and she would know by now if a coaster will be opened in 2002. And last anyone who says they work in he office at CP and tells you their name is lying.
And anyone who runs a ride (a piddly little red or blue tag) doesn't know anything about new releases. They don't know until the public knows.

Well then that scraps my B&M inverted launched dive machine with 8 inversions that goes under one end of the peninsula and comes out the other rumor....

Not probable and next to impossible.
hahahahahahahaha! sorry but if it was only 210 ft tall it would not make it around the park too easily. Save yourself some embarassment and don't make up stupid things like that.;)

While I don't dismiss the idea of a wooden coaster, everything else you said is hard to believe. I work for Cedar Point and I don't have access to any secret pipelines of information and I doubt that most if not all of the employees fall in this same boat.
I thought I once read something that said Cedar Point would "never" build another woodie as big as Mean Streak...and NOW we "have" a 210 foot woodie coming in 2002....hmm....Very, VERY, Very Hard to believe, Chad...I agree with BC Spartan...save youself the embarrassment...

IF...these "breaking news" is true, (that might take an act of God)..I will be the FIRST one to apologize to the Chad on here...

Live for FUN!

GO SHAMROCKS!
GO WOLVERINES!
You are mmissing the point!! Have you heard of Intamin who have PERFECTED the technolgy for giant woodies?? Look at Heide Park's Colossos and PERFECT design!! But as much as I would like to see a giant woodie @ CP I fear it will have the world's largest collection of trim brakes and braking it hard enough so that there is ZERO airtime on the ride!!!:-( CF can NOT run Valleyfair right!! NO WAY do I trust them!!!:-(
Ha ha PFF, "the world's largest collection of trim brakes". Now there's a record "braker" for ya!! ;)

Ok, rumors are flying, this is what I have heard.
I can't confirm a a single word of what I am about to say, but here goes.

First, A wooden coaster planned for the Oceana area, Schwabinchin will be moved to Vally Fair. No details on the size of this ride yet.
The Peanuts Playland area will be removed and new kiddie coaster and or kiddie rides will be added.
Chaos, and Trokia will be moved to another area of the park to make room for a 300 foot S&S Thrust Air.

...and before anyone asks, the lemon chill guy has nothing to do with this information.

NOOO! Dont move the Schwabinchen to another park!! Maybe my back yard or something. That ride is a lot more fun than it looks! My friends and I used to ride that when our parents (OK only dads) were coastering. We always just called it the "Sandwich". Like you could pronounce it when you were nine or whatever.
I had an uncle that filled pot holes at CP. Does that count?

My brain hurts.... I will not mention who I talked to at the park last week, and NO they were not CP or CF people.. and NO they were not just random people in the park...

I'm gonna keep my mouth shut on this topic for the rest of the season to see if what I've heard comes true... Have a good rumor season people...
