Thanks, Gemini! I really appreciate the info since I won't be able to make it to the park this year. When you see it, I'd love if you could tell me where some of these are! (The new burger stand, Merch store, etc...) Thanks!

Wow! I didn't know Cedar Point did all that during the off-season. Thanks for the info though!

Wireless Microphones, WOW! Gotta love the point, their ride ops are the best!

Adventuredome Ride Op 2000 - present
Future CP Ride op?
Some of the rides already have had wireless for awhile -- Disaster has used them for a long time, at least. But that fits with the spacey themeing of the ride, to be sure. It will really help out the ops to have them on all the coasters/rides!

Add to the list:

New lap bars for Blue Streak
New axles for Magnum XL-200
(New air compressor for Magnum XL-200? :) )
New station railings/kid-crushers for Iron Dragon
Stairway railing upgrades for Gemini
New grease for Mean Streak :)
New lighting effects for Disaster Transport

Depending on how you count them, there are now either five flags or seven flags flying over the Cedar Point main gate. :)

We didn't make it through the entire park yesterday. Did anyone notice a new hamburger stand or the Lotsapalooza gift shop?

Also to be added to that list:

Millennium Force had two major changes made to it as far as I could tell. The first of which was the addition of a row of proximity switches just after the last permanent brake and before the turn into the waiting block. They are located about a foot above the track on the right side. The other change was to replace the side bars on each seat. Rather than being painted a primer gray, as they were last year, they are now left exposed and have a shiny, metallic look to them. I like the new look much better.

Are you kidding? New lights in DT! Maybe we can avoid the space pirates now. But seriously, what are these lights and where are they on the ride?

"Space Pirates? And a trip to Alaska??? Put together in one ride?????? Genious I tell you, pure GENIOUS!"
What's up with caramel on French Fries?
On Disaster Transport: They've added a strobe light to one tunnel, and a red gumball machine to the center of the satellite thingy in the room with the egg strobes.

Yeah,Dave! That new air-compressor on Magnum added a nice touch! :)

Yeah, right, Jerry...

Sure. Riiiiiiiiiiight. Jerry is as pure as the driven snow. And if you believe that I have a bridge to sell you. :)

Might the "gumball machine" supposed to be a robot? I know the one on the load platform always looked like some odd variation of a jukebox to me.

In this case, the "gumball machine" isn't visible; it's hidden away inside the satellite/robot thingy in the middle of the helix. But you can see the light coming out of the slot in the middle of the prop.

I should back up a bit.

"Gumball machine" in this case refers to one of those rotating-lens lights like you used to see on the tops of police cars.

Who used to use glossaries on r.r-c but hasn't done that in years.
Did anyone else see the REAL Gumball Machine in the doorway of the Snoopy Boutique right on the main midway? I never thought I'd live to see the day Cedar Point would sell bubblegum at the park.
Ohh come on Tim.. they need to provide the gum for decorating the back wall of the pop machines in Raptor.... :)

MF 2000 - 269 laps

MF 2001 - Double digits already.. and that's only the second day. :)
Is it gum, or is it jawbreakers?
