For anyone who can get a hold of The Blade (I'm in Toledo, so it comes to my house) there's a pretty interesting article about the race for the most coasters and CP's argument that S:TE is not a coaster. It has input from a couple of different people about the situation and what CP should do.
One suggestion that caught my eye was for CP to call a rollercoaster "fair" next year and bring in several portable coasters in order to hold the record until they are able to put some permanent installations in.
Hmmmmmmm.... Haven't decided if this is a good or bad idea yet.
The only thing Cedar Point should do is continue adding great coasters every other year like they always do. Why are they so worried about SFMM? The park is on the other side of the country. Did they really think they could hold on to the record forever?
They're not worried about what is going on out at SFMM other than maybe a little bit of cheating ;)
And yes, they do think they can hold the record forever because it has been theirs forever :)
No, it hasn't been theirs "forever," that's for sure.
