New Construction Pictures

Check out the official CP site. They put up some sweet new construction pictures.
Yeah, I have to agree that the first turn around looks even scarier than the first hill.
I have to agree with bryan and natas. I am starting to think that the first hill may be the least of our worries. :)

Good pictures. This coaster is looking more and more promising. I was going to ride it no matter what, but if it were JUST speed I wasn't sure I was going to like it as much as Magnum or even, say, Jackrabbit at Kennywood (I'm a big fan of major airtime pops :) )

I was already going to reserve final judgement until I've ridden it, but seeing that monster going up...wow. Now I can't wait.

Looking forward to May!

Yea, I'm a speed freak myself, but MF is going to be so much more! I think we will all find something to love about this one!

...We hope you have a great day here at Cedar Point America's Rockin' Roller Coast
I don't know. To be honest, I'm feeling like I could be disappointed in May. I'm sure it'll be a cool ride and all but i'm not sure it'll be as we're all playing it up to be. I'm guessing it'll be fun, and then I'll be like , ok let's go ride Magnum. Also, from the layout, it looks kinda short. However, I am predicting that the most fun part will come from the part right after the first turn where the trains come close to the ground. *** This post was edited by RockDown2G on 1/30/00. ***

One can't truly appreciate the scope of this ride unless you've seen it in real life.

The new millennium Force is very tall now you can see it from downtown in sandusky by the bay.fun fun fun ride this summer at cp.
103 days to the big day!!may 13,2000!!
If anyone has pics from cedar point please send them to me thanks.
It does have less hills than Magnum, or say...even the Blue Streak. Millennium Force is definately a speed coaster, although I hope there's something for everyone...(the press release promises airtime)

i saw the thing for myself in December before the track was on the lift, I could see the lift structure as soon as I turned on Cleveland Road.

Yeah but height is height. That's like trying to convince me that Superman :The Escape at SFMM is a good ride because it goes 100mph and climbs to 4 hundred something feet. It's not. It's a terrible ride. There's more that height and speed that makes a good ride. I'm sure MF will be high. I'm also sure it'll be fast, a blast, and a thrill, but I'm not as sure it'll be better ride than the Magnum. Or even Raptor. Little things that go beyond the specs contribute to the awesomeness of Magnum and Raptor to me. (Like the way you feel like you're on top of the world when you pull out of the last tunnel and take your well deserved "victory stroll" around the plaza as the train of satisfied riders applauds. Or even the first time you rode Raptor and probably couldn't remember a time when you felt more disoriented) In other words, it's got the height and the speed, but does it have the originality and feel to make it an awesome ride? I think we'll have to wait til May for that one. :)
it is something about certain rides that make you keep coming back for more. like they have a personality or a life/mind of their own. like you are riding something that is more than just a machine...i know what you are saying, RockDown. that's why i ALWAYS ride SFGAm's Demon. it's got ATTITUDE. like Maggy does. or Raptor does. Raptor's got attitude till next Sunday as far as i'm concerned. Mean Streak has it, but it's chained like a mad dog. MF might have MORE ATTITUDE than the others and THAT, in my mind, is what will make it a good ride. not just the drop, or the speed, or the turns...it's how much ATTITUDE, NASTY, MEAN, BIG BAD ATTITUDE it's got...

FYI, they have 3 new pictures up. One of the Giant Wheel, 1 looking up at the 182 ft hill. and the 3rd is the construction crew posing with the crest piece of the 182 ft tall hill.
