A few WindSeeker photos from Saturday:
Excellent, as always. This photo gives a good indication of the view we'll have walking toward WS from the Main Midway. WS looks as though it'll be nicely positioned, aesthetically.

^ Very true Dj. And to think that crane is not as tall as the ride will be when it is finished!
Beeeeehhhhhhh!!!!!
While I will miss the trees that surrounded the Ocean Motion area, it's nice to be able to see the open lake from the Main Midway.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
I'm sure when they're done building Windseeker, they'll replant new smaller trees, but I agree they will be missed in that area. I hope they put new trees in by the former chaos area. When we did the tour last week, I noticed a couple of them were gone. I hope that doesn't mean they'll get rid of the brick walls that were once there as well.
I didn't see any of the seats on site. But Kings Island posted a picture of their seats a while back. http://twitpic.com/49rtfx

Since opening day is almost a month away, do any of you really think that Windseeker will be open by then? There is still so much that has to be done constructive wise and of course the inspections.
Also, not sure if this was posted and I didn't go digging but they are also putting in a Tofts ice cream stand inside Soak City.
Ride-on
There's still time. They appear to be having some wind issues but that's also allowing them to get some other things out of the way. I'm, of course, talking about the ufo topper and hoist assembly. And who knows, maybe they're even getting other stuff ready.....stuff we can't see in the webcams.
Also, look at KI. They have 18 days to get their Windseeker ready and they're currently wiring the gondola. They still need to get all the power (or whatever is left) hooked up, the arms and seats attached, finish landscaping, put up queue rails AND test it. They're running on just as thin a line as CP is.
This offseason was pretty brutal weather wise and these high winds are not helping.

Well, after last year I find myself crossing my fingers in hope that the ride mechanism that circles the tower will indeed fit around the tower. :)

lol, this isn't an Intamin........though they all are the first models to be built by monodial much like STR was for Intamin. So yea, ::cross fingers:: :)

I'm sure that there are some Funtime blueprints floating around that they can use.
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.
Thus proving my hunch that I should never post anything of substance, opting instead to simple post a one-liner every month or so... ;)

I try to punctuate the jokes with an occasional post of substance. Trouble is, nobody takes those seriously either... ;)
