Wow!
"We expect the station to start going up next week, and the electrical contractor will start work next week too. In two to three weeks I expect to have 50-60 people on site, and there’s going to be a lot of stuff going on."
Things are going to get busy!

yea, its a great update, finally......but i think its funny that this site does a better job of construction photo updates than cp, but im just happy to get updates

Well, this site has a lot more people contributing to it, and about $21,000,000 less invested in Maverick to worry about. :)
Thats cool that the trains are under being done as we speak. Hopefully the next trip I go on, it will be on a flattbed truck and I'll be right behind him. Well I'm only kidding about that...lol.
I guess I'm glad my October trip got moved to the 28-29 instead of the 1st. I will get to see a lot more now!
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
It looks like they may have been installing some of the track they store the trains on today.
Also there was a guy in a boom lift working on the lift hill almost all day. Perhaps he was prepping it to install the stairs.

Are you talking about the transfer track, because I dont see how that piece the crane is lifting is track. I think it's catwalk pieces.

And looking at the archived image now, it looks like it is catwalk. There's catwalk now about 1/3 the way up the lift hill.
Ok guys, I know I've had pictures to contribute nearly every week, but I'm going to be doing a bit of traveling this month and may not get back to the park until Boo Buzz on the 21st.
Doug & Walt have also taken many fine pictures also, but why don't some of you other guys get in on the action.
I look forward to viewing your shots. :)

^ I'm trying, but I've got all my photo equipment listed on ebay in an attempt to pick up a new EOS 10 or 20d. :) (I might even go "old school" and pick up a D60).
If I get that before closing weekend, though, you bet I'll have some new pictures.
I'm going to be heading up there tomorrow and will get back Sunday. I got a little Canon SD400, I'll try to have something to post if nothing else shows up.
I bought a new camera this week. I can't wait to use it closing weekend. I used to have a Fuji Finepix A205 but it was only 2 megapixels and was gigantic. I bought a Minolta E500 for cheap at Walmart because it was discontinued and was clearance. I'm no professional, I just enjoy taking pictures at the park. This camera is 5 megapixel and is nice and compact. I'm working on a photo album of the park. It starts at the front and works its way back. So far I'm at Millennium so I still have a bit of a way to go. I also have a Halloweekends album and plan on making a Maverick construction album after I have my pictures from closing weekend.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
^ Nice. I have a Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z5 that I'm about to put up with the rest of my ebay auctions. It's what I used all season long, combined with a fisheye and a macro lens. It's been a great camera, so I know you'll like yours.
how much you lookin to sell your camera for BTW?? Im looking for a camera
