Geauga Lake has put on the website, their new 60sec commercial.

I feel its a great step for the park in gaining back a great image. No more Mr. fun, no cheesy phrases, just flat out advertisement of what they offer. Best commercial they have done yet. :)

I didn't really care for it. I mean, it's OK, but it doesn't knock my socks off. The song that was used last year was much better. The FUN dude may be have been dubious, but I liked last year's campaign better.
Well. . .I think last year's song was catchy, but I don't think it created the excitement that was needed to bring people in. "the fun is back, na na na na na na. Geauga lake, na na na na na." heheh.
But. .. this new commercial. . . i don't know. ..it gets me excited!!!! And even though graphics and logos are nothing more than graphics and logos when it all boils down, these seem to evoke feelings of togetherness, value, and theme.
I think it's well done. :)
I thinks its better than that fun guy last year. they showed the park this time instead of showing the "Fun" Family driving to the park.
I like the ad. The music is an obvious rip-off from the Queer Eye theme, but it works. There's a lot of "new and improved" to sell this year, and I think trying to combine that with happy touchy feely is not easy. It's a good start, and I suspect there's more to come.
Sure is nice video compression. ;)

It drew me in. I'm not sure about the music, but it's fast, techy, and the 2 parks in 1 theme is pretty heavy. I liked the way they showcased the water park.
I'll likely make at least one trip this year.
I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
I didn't notice the Queer Eye theme until you mentioned it Jeff. It does sound pretty close to it though. lol
Now I can't get that damned song out of my head. :) Thanks.

I like the commericial. Because GL is going to be kicking in high gear this summer. I just hope the weather does not be like the past two summers at Cedar Point (rain after rain).

You better! ;) It was nice meeting you last year at the park. This year, now that we had a whole off-season to prepare, should really be FUN! This year I am the TL of the Bellaire Triangle (the monorail, Skyscraper, and El Dorado).
Geauga Lake, where the FUN is back!

I have sort of a strange request but does anyone know where I can still find the 2004 "The Fun Is Back" commercials with the family in the convertable singing? I would like to see that commercial again as well as the lost Cedar Point music video from 2004 if anyone knows where they can still be found.

Here's the commercial of the family in the car. Though I don't have the one with shots from the park.
I haven't seen a Geauga Lake commerical since it went back to GL. Its not like i'm really far away. (about 2 hours west.) They probably just push CP in this area.
"Ive got the need, the need for speed!"
I find that odd. I haven't seen very much of the Cedar Point add, but I notice the GL add just about every day.
The Poster formerly known as "Dougster."
The family in the car commercial is from 2004 when "the fun came back" after Cedar Fair bought the park.
BTW, thanks VGplay for finding that.

Yeah know the way GL puts their commercials in one spot? Cedar Point should do that too. They have 3 or 4 commercials to do it.
It's an "ad" as in "advertisement." "Add" is something you do with two numbers.
