New Cam

I think they should have an evening "light parade" all season. Can the lame fireworks show and just do a cool light parade. I think that would be way cooler.

I completely forgot that I was also capturing the images from the midway cam.

They park the cabin of the Space Spiral half way up the tower when not in use.

^ That was sorta random. :) I think that fact was established quite a while back.

He was a little late on that one...maybe he fell asleep in the middle of typing and didn't post it until he woke back up...a day later! :)

this new cam is really cool! i like the spot they put it in! I hope the third one is somewhere even better though.

How exactly do they get it parked up there and brought back down? I have never seen any controls for it outside of the cabin.

Actually, there are controls on the loading ramp. There's a massive counterweight in the tower and when the cabin is brought halfway up they are both even, putting less stress on the tower.

The cables bang against the tower on a windy day if the car is at the bottom as well. It's very loud.

Does anyone know if the maverick cam link still works? I had the link saved on my cell phone for awhile and it worked even though it wasn't linked to on the cp webcam page. I have since removed the link from my phone's favorites and I forgot what the exact link was. Now that halloweekends is coming around I want to check it out again but can't find it. Anyone still have it in their favs?

Yes it does. So does the pondcam. The original Midwaycam no longer works. But if you link to it, it shows you a pic from a rainy day earlier in the year. I'll try to find that link too.
