New Book About CP

Saw a new book about Cedar Point last night at the Waldenbooks at Sandusky Mall. It is part of a series called Images of America. Written by David W. Francis,and Diane Demali Francis. It consists largely of pictures. Some I've seen, some not. Softcover, 100+ pages. 2004 copyright. Retails for about $20.00. I noticed a lot of heavy Photoshopping of some of the images. Some good, some not. I did not buy it, but I am considering it. Anyone else seen this book?

Yeah, I remember seeing it at Barnes & Noble. Being a broke teenager I didn't get it but did flip through some of the pictures.

I have it and like it, there are a few photos in it that I haven't seen before. It is sort of a history in pictures but of course no where near the history detail of Francis's other book. There is also an Images of America book on Kennywood and Dorney Park I believe.

Andrew Hyde ( www.experiencethepoint.com ) wrote another book about Cedar Point last year called "Experience the Point 2" or somthing like that. It was a good book.

No, he wrote a collection of fact sheets from the park. I have all the same crap. It's a joke.

Jeff, I didnt know it was a crime to write about something I love. I was bored one summer, and decided to do something. Yes, you have have the same facts, Cedar Point.Com has the same facts, but I wasnt out to try to prove anything I just liked to write and decided to do something about something I love. There are hundreds of Disney World sites yet how many books out there have the same information, I don't see you calling them a joke. It would be like someone calling this site a joke because you can find most some of the same stuff on Cedar Point.Com. If you got a beef with me, take it up with me instead of putting everything of mine down every chance you have.

HEY! I happen to know mr. hyde (not jeckel though...lol..haha humor.. ANYWAY) And i dont think that he appreciates you putting down his book. If you have somthing bad to say, dont post it world wide, in fact, dont post it at all! And not EVERYONE has tons of fact sheets everywhere. I loved his book, and i think that its very good, it has all the facts in one place!!!!!

I agree with you about how everyone doesn't have all the factsheets everywhere, however Jeff should be able to say he doesn't like something if he really doesn't like it.

Andrew: You ripped off Walt's content from Virtual Midway, you ripped off my forums and pretended they were your own, violating the license agreement at the time, you published a bunch of stuff that's readily available from the park's marketing materials. I don't care what you love... you have no respect for the work of other people. Do something original and I'll give you credit.
