^ I belive they already said that was not going to be the suprise. They said that would be something you would have to find out when you ride.

Oh, yeah I think youre right. I remeber Tony saying that but I could have sworn he said on the CB podcast that he was going to show what it was prior to the opening.....or something like that.

here is the quote:

The tunnel is still a surprise. In fact, we're not going to even mention it - you'll have to ride it and experience it for yourself! It will be wicked awesome.

The suprise was going to be mentioned on Wednesday prior to the park opening for the season. But that was when they though Maverick was going to open on the 12th as well. Since the suprise does in fact have to do with Maverick, he is waiting until he knows when it is going to open before telling us what the suprise really is.

Total Maverick rides for the 2007 season = 27

Top 5--- 1. Maverick- 2. Millennium 3. Magnum 4. TTD 5. Gemini

Cavs- 2007 Eastern Conference Champions!.-

Probably an early opening of Maverick or some contest for the first ride - did the Red Cross do that this year?

The surprise has something to do with an undisclosed feature on Maverick.

And, yes, they are still doing the Red Cross auction for Maverick.

7 TTD rides.....1 Roll Back
3rd train of the Season on MF! 2007

im sad to see the heartline roll, but im glad to see that the replacement will not effect the quick pace of the ride! It sounds great!

im a freak for cp

so that is all they will be remaking different, and the rest of the Coaster will be the same? I wonder when the Tracks will come in the PARK too.

This saddens me to see the Heartline go, but the S-Curve is much better than just a plain flat piece of track. I'm really happy I got a picture of the Heartline Testing before it was taken out.

Here is the Picture Again for those who missed it:

Well, the pictures in the blog are a higher quality, but it appears in these captures as though all 3 secions of track have been removed and a few (not sure how many) supports have been removed. With a shot every minute, it's hard to catch everything.

Yeah, I'm glad I got to see the testing in person only two days before they removed it. The heartline roll really didn't look that bad in person, and it saddens me that they have had to take it out. :(

Oh well, here's hoping that the replacement track arrives quickly--once on-site, how long should it take them to get the ride operational? Obviously the installation of the new track pieces will go pretty quickly, what I'm curious about is how long it will take them to get "certification" to open the ride once they start running cars through it again?

..Al

I think the suiprise is that MAVERICK will have a SINGLE-RIDER Line! The S-R line is LONG overdue at Cedar Point!!!

If that is the big surprise I am going to be really let down. I dont see them waiting to spring that on us. I am sure its about Maverick but do you honestly think that would be the surprise?

Ride-on

Or maybe it has something to do with the railroad signs in the tunnel. ;)

Disaster Transport 2012

All we really can do is wait and see now, theres is no sense in getting into big arguments like many did about what "project2007" (Maverick) would be.
