It's really unfair to get me this excited for Halloweekends two months before I start working there. :)

That wagon would be really cool if they made it into like a haunted horse buggy... like skeleton men pulling the reigns on skeleton horses. creepy... I love halloween :D

My question is, and nothing against Tony & Tyler, but, why are they bloging about Halloweekends in the beginning July, when we are still waiting on that pointcast from late May?

4 summers of employment in ride operations does stuff to you.

Because they usually do a Halloweekends blog about now. We're at the down-hill side of the season, so they are trying to get people excited about the busiest time of the year.

Plus, NOW is when they are getting props and such ready for Halloweekends, so its a good time to go visit them and get the info about what's going to be new.

"Down-hill side of the season"? *splutters*

Say it isn't so!

Ughhh!! My vacation is 3 days from being over, the longest day of the year has passed, & it's the down-side of the CP season?! I'm going to start freaking out thinking that way.

Anyone want to plan a last day get together? I'll bring the pasta salad again since I now have it down how to get it to the pavillion from Magnums' entrance without noodles spilling everywhere. Maybe Walt or Jeff could come & speak, or we could all share our best & worse times of the season?

^^^ Exactly. It takes a lot of time and effort to get things ready for Halloweekends, they don't just magically appear overnight. This is when stuff really starts happening "behind the screams". Besides, with Halloweekends starting a week early this year, it's never too soon to start plugging for the busiest (and best) time of the year.

Seems a little early, but cool enough.

Well when you think about how many of those pumpkins and other props they have to make, and how few people they have to do it, it isn't really surprising that they'd start this early. I thought it was an interesting blog.

Thrills Around the Corner!

It's about time they posted a new blog.

If there was a blog post tomorrow not only announcing plans for a new attraction in 2008, but also giving us complete details for 2009, 2010, and 2011, the responses would range from, "but what about 2012?" to "I can't believe we had to wait this long to find out about 2011."

It doesn't matter what the content is, or how frequent it is, someone's going to gripe. It's like a broken record.

I doubt anyone would actually say that. Really even though I'm sure there was sarcasm dripping on that post.

I can see why people are complaining about the blog and IMO it's quite justified. If you look at what the blog used to be last year then it's quite obvious that they either ran out of ideas, don't care anymore or honestly don't have the time. I would say the latter is the case with the blog.

What is the difference between their work load from last year to this year? Who knows, but I am sure they just don't have the time at this point.

It's my understanding that they've both taken on additional duties since they began doing the blog, so I'm sure they just don't have as much time for it anymore. I sometimes feel like I'm the only one who enjoys just about anything they share with us, regardless of how small or insignificant. There was once a time when there was no blog at all....

How is it justified? It's a blog.

The smattering of complaints is not the result of recent blog performance. There's been a sense of entitlement and a disproportionate furor over frequency and content since the start in 2005. Some people will never be satisfied. But that doesn't mean that we need to hear about it in every single blog thread.

All of you should walk up to Tony in the park and ask why he doesn't post on the blog.

He loves to hear that question.

It's easier to complain on the Internet. :)

People are spoiled with the instant information they get on the internet these days. And as Walt says, it's very easy to complain when you're a faceless individual sitting behind a computer screen.

When I was a kid, I found out about what was new in the park when either the Hotel Breakers brochure was mailed to the house in April, or the Plain Dealer had an ad for CP a couple of weeks before opening day. No one had a breakdown due to lack of information from the park.

The blog is a nice addition and it has some interesting information and pictures that you normally wouldn't see. Deal with it kiddies, be happy with what you have and stop complaining about things you think you are mistakenly entitiled to.

What I'd really like to know is what exactly some people are expecting out of these blogs. I mean, what is it they think they should be entitled to see that Tony and Tyler don't write about? There really isn't much of anything they haven't covered.

People confuse me.
