New Animated CP.com Banner

I just refreshed my page, and it's now a nighttime display. Looks very cool and realistic, as expected. And if you zoom in to the Power Tower vehicle, it's an actual photograph, and you can see the people in it lol.

If you like the day time then the night is 10x better. The detail on this is awesome. There are spotlights on Dragster, MF different colors, Magnum's lights up the lift hill, PT's cool lighter, and Mean Streak's cool glow.

It doesn't come up on my computer for some reason any ideas?

MF has its cool hill effects as well.

Wow, I've never seen Flash animation peg my over-clocked Athlon 2600+ at 100% utilization... not even with three flash ads on the page.

I know all the work that was put into the banner and I really appreciate that (no, seriously, I know) but the banner in combination with the news headlines flash object down at the bottom (which, even with the updated one) is pulling all sorts of processor time. I haven't tried it in IE yet, but it's just not cutting it for me in Firefox.

I missed the night display, o'well its gonna happen again tonight.....

It works fine for me with IE. My computer is 4-5 years old and the banner runs fine with 3 of the rides going, any more it runs a little slower. The group sales still has the old animated banner and the resorts has the Wicked Twister banner, that's been the same for quite some time.

My 100% utilization was with IE, actually. Not good. Not even "shoot the paparazzi" does that. ;)

They should have gotten a different angle of the park, and included maXair in it.

When will it switch over to the night time animation, its almost 8 & im still seeing the day time animation...

Wow, that night picture is pretty neat. I really like how they even used the red, white, and blue scheme on Millennium Force's lift hill, and also the strobe light effect. It's almost like i'm looking at the real thing.

How Long Do You Think It Took CP To Make The Web Site Banner?

I don't know what surprises me more, How demanding Cedarpoint.com 's banner is or that Jeff is in the OC club.

I tricked out my rig last summer. Kind of a waste of money in a lot of ways, but at least I already had the aluminum case with windows and lights. I even keep the CPU under 45 degrees with a slow fan. Mobile Athlons were really a steal last year, considering how easily they can be pushed.

Joe... seriously. You need to find something else to do.
