New ace plaque

Did anyone notice the new ace plaque near the entrance of magnum?

I guess they just put it up yesterday-6/22/04

What does it have on it?

Its bascly about magnum being a milestone is coaster history.

It mentions something about it being the first "full circut coaster" to break the 200 foot marker.

Now if only they would put a sign designating that as the entrance to Magnum, they'd really be in business. I recall a trip with my relatives to Cedar Point; I told them to meet me by the entrance to Magnum. I waited for 15 minutes, and found them over by Magnum's Hot Shots building.

That must be frustrating for the average, visit-for-a-vacation type of guest.

Have I mentioned lately that I've been complaining about that for years?

Maybe they want to keep it a secret. An entrance for guests that are knowledgeable on Cedar Point. Let the GP figure it out themselves or use the main entrance! *** Edited 6/24/2004 5:46:50 AM UTC by 2kForce***
The entrance to Magnum does need a sign. For people who don't know where it's at the Ride Op with the measurement stick sitting on a stool next to some metal queues should give you a hint.

Keep in mind, Raptorman, that you can't even see the ride from the entrance.

Signage is important. The "safety guide" signs are a poor excuse for a "Look what ride this is" kind of sign.

What ever happened to the old ride entrance signs that used to have characters on them that referenced that ride? Magnum had a robot, Corkscrew had a barrel twisting, Demon Drop had a red demon, etc. Wouldn't those be great to get your hands on!

True, a big sign would be nice, but the wait-time sandwich board has always seemed sufficient to me.
I have read the posts for a year or so, but i can't get over how jeff gets away with putting everybody down and you people just take it. Well if nobody else is going to say it (little eyes are watching) he is a person with nothing better to do or no life and is a moron most of the time. thanks and have a great day.
Nice first post. Have a nice life.

It's called humorous sarcasm, apparently you're the only who takes it personally.

I always seemed to notice that when the old long line entrance was open is the only time anyone seemed to find the regular (now only) entrance.
About the entrance thing, I was at the park yesterday and guests kept entering through the free way entrance, soon to find out that they had to turn around and find the real entrance.

If you think that that's Jeff putting someone down, then you haven't been reading posts for a year...

And besides, most of Jeff's "put-downs" are pretty damn hilarious.
