NEED HELP!!

I neeeeeeeed help here!! I havnt rode MF yet and I'm Soooo freaked out!!! Oh yeah, and I'm a new person in the message boards thing HOWDY! Well, anyway, I need a little couragement to ride this thing and I need it soon I'm going to CP in a month (ok not too soon but ...yeah whatever) CYA!

Well, I can't say I wasn't scared, but really it isn't that scary. Intense, not scary. Ride it, otherwise you'll miss out on the best coaster out there.

I'm going to get it for this, but just so you won't be scared:

Millennium Force == World's Largest Kiddie Coaster

Seriously, you just have to get past the huge first drop. After that it is easy to handle - kind of like driving in a convertable with the roof down! :) After the drop, MF is not even in the top 3 scariest rides in the park. If you can handle Magnum or Raptor, you can handle MF.

Howdy me again! :-D;-) what if one (or both) of my contacs fall out of my eyes while on MF and I have to go around the whole day (OH NO!) bumping into walls!?

If you are worried about your contacts coming out and If you can see decently without your contacts and you have glasses you could wear, I would wear your glasses. Then when you ride Millennium Force you can take off your glasses, enjoy the ride, then put them back on. ;)

Contacts falling out? Not only have I never heard of it, it has never happened to me. I've been on the Force 54x, and have never had a problem with my eyes. Nor on any other coaster out there.

The Millennium Force is all about speed, just remember that. I still think Magnum offers more in regards to everything else: airtime, bunny hills scenery, view of the lake, etc. The Force is still a rush, though, and very VERY smooth.

the thing about contacts and riding coasters is to NOT let them dry up keep some re-wetting drops on you and you will have no problem

When you visit CP, visit my Mill, est. 1835

Only if you ride in the very front you would have to worry about contacts. I had one "slip" from my eye but it centered itself, but that was only once in over 300 rides :) . Wear Sunglasses over your contacts and you wont have this problem. 8o)

I had my glasses on during all my coaster rides at CP last season (including MF). They'll stay on.

If all fails and you totally chicken out, make sure you have a friend push you into that line. (Please, no fighting in line.) It's worth every second of waiting, and anything else you can think of.

I can't tell you not to worry about the drop because you will anyway until you actually ride it. It is scary but only the first time when you don't know what to expect. It is an awesome ride and absolutely my favorite!!! Don't let a little fear keep you from a GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! If you're really worried, remember that CP has an excellent safety record and wonderful, well-trained employees. You have nothing to worry about and you will be perfectly safe. Just have fun!!! Also, on the contact lens thing, I've never had any problems with mine no matter where I sit but the sunglasses thing is a good idea if you're really worried. RIDE IT, YOU CAN DO IT!!! C'MON- YOU WILL LOVE IT!!! (a little encouragement for you!)

Yeah, theres not really much that we can say to you to ease your fear. All I can say is that its an awesome ride...dont miss out on it. And if you have any worries about contacts, then why not just wear glasses? I havent had any problems with my glasses yet
It's easier than riding a bike. After your first ride all of your fear will be gone, just get those lungs screamin, put your hands up, and don't forget to have fun!

Thank you for saying that, because I havn't rode MF yet eathier, but that was my theory. Just get past the first hill and it's not that bad. I told my cousin this (who has rode the MF about a million times) and she said that if I could handle the Magnum I could handle MF. But then she goes on to say that realy, it is the speed..and that it is like ten times worse than the Magnum. So I started freaking out a little untill you said that.:)

Jeff (Natalie's bf) put it pretty well Sunday when he said that MF is a ride that enthusiasts might not find to be all that great, but for the general public, its the (bomb). Just get past the drop and you'll be fine. Heck - even my mom and dad had their hands up by the end of the ride! Its very rare to see a train come by the queue with not at least 3/4 of the hands in the air. That's something you don't see on a lot of coasters. It's a giant coaster, but it's a giant coaster that most people can handle. Magnum, Raptor, and Mantis are all more "intense" as far as forces. MF is all about speed and power.

My statement: I was exactly like you- chicken. I was forced on the MF and now, I'm obsessed. It's actually pretty unhealthy how obsessed I am. You're going to love it.
