Near future of CP

I've been thinkin about the near future of CP. After all the crazy rumors and stories like a 400ft inverted in 2001, I decided to sit down and single out CP's options in the future.....I doubt that CP will get another Arrow coaster for next year because just look at what CP did in 89 when they wanted the fastest, tallest coaster out there they of course went w/ Arrow, but 10 years later they want to again be on top so they go w/ Intamin (even though Magnum is still the #1 steel coaster). Togo is not it either couse Knott's and Cedar Point are owned by the same company, Cedar Fair. I did narrow it down to 2 comp. 1 Intamin

2 B&M Think about it, CP must of had a 2 deal contract w/ B&M couse 94/Raptor 96/Mantis. Intamin could also have a 2 contract w/ CP!

What kind though..... just like many other people have said what doesnt CP have? A really good sitting looper, B&M and Intamin are great companies for those. Looking over the stats of the park and the race for the best, most, fastest, tallest coasters, ect... (Which CP is always on top) "Im sure it will be a steel looper" THANKS
I think a wooden coaster.

Why do you think that?
This stuff about "contracts" with coaster companies is ridiculous. Why would a park want to pigeon hole their chioces by contracting for a coaster in 3-5 years when other designs, possibly more exciting, might be right around the corner. Had CP contracted with Arrow when Magnum was built we might not have seen Raptor when we did.

Unless the contract calls for building rides from the same company in the same year, I don't think it happens as all of the rumors suggest.
I don't think there is enough room at cedar point for a big woody.

"Who needs drugs when you have Cedar Point."
Who ever said it had to be a big woody.
There is to space.

If I said it once, I've said it 10 trillion times. There is not, never was, and never will be a multi-coaster contract with any coaster manufacturer, unless it's for different coasters at different parks.

I like the idea of CP having a record breaker floorless. Yeah SFO has one, but if CP gets one it will be better. And I only ride the best. No I would ride at SFO also. I may be wrong but I don't see how people think it is stupid for CP to get a floorless since SFO has one. SO WHAT. CP's will be better faster more inversions. They always build the best at the time (look at their past). Just like Nagashima will take MF's record away CP should break SFO floorless coaster with a record breaker floorless. (oh yeah some may say you don't need height to have a good coaster. Your right, by record breaker I mean most inversions and well CP will probably add height to that category also)

Welcome back Millennium Force riders...We all want to know how was your RIDE!!!!! *** This post was edited by Hooper on 4/2/2000. ***
Mabey also Vekoma International could build.

Its no gurantee that CP will build a floorless coaster that will be better then SFO. It is possible that CP builds a floorless coaster and it could stink up a storm compared to SFO. Basicly any type of new ride that CP puts up in the next 3-5-10 years will be a good addition, I don't care if its a floorless, inverted, woody, air thrust, dark ride, water flume, hyper steel twister with retsin. I'm sure what ever is built it will wow us all.

Hoping for the next future of CP post like I'm hoping for a hole in the head

I'd look for a wild mouse made by ARROW next year. Some kind of launched coaster in 2002.
