National Register of Historic Places, Frontiertown Carousel

I found a thread similar to this from 2000 but decided to make a new one as it would probly be closed.

The Frontiertown Carousel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, before it was relocated to Dorney. Is the building still a park of the Register? I was wondering how that works.

Wow, I didn't realize the Dorney recycling effort began that far back.

There's nothing historic about that building.

And it only became a building in 2002(ish) when it was walled up for Undertaker University. Before that it was just a roof if I remember correctly. I have some pictures somewhere of them adding the exterior wall.

Wasn't it walled up for Eerie Manor? I can't remember if they just set that one up inside the pavillion and took it down at the end of the season or if the permanent walls went up that first year.

They might have put up temporary walls like they use to do with Boo Hill when it was housed in Dodgem. The pictures I have from 2001/2002 (can't remember which year) show the building open from the sides and the start of the exterior wall that you see now.

I have a picture of that same building from 1997 (2nd Halloweekends) that shows what looks to be the blue front facade they currently use for 2012's Boo Hill (but painted grey). That same facade was also used for the Boo Hill by the adult Dodgems (in 2001) but painted orange/neon green. There was no haunted attraction name on the outside of the old Frontier carousel building like there is now (Eternity Infirmary). The attraction in that spot in 2001 was called the U.R. Dade School of Mortuary Science. The picture I have from 1997 also shows the outer wall somewhat open and the old carousel faces and trim along the top edge under the roof. They weren't removed yet in my pic. I believe part of the trim is now housed in the Town Hall museum.
