Name it

I don't think keeping them down is the problem, its controlling that downward flow that is the issue.

If they call it "Maverick", I think it will be the best name of a coaster at Cedar Point since Raptor. Of course, I'd rather see a woodie named Maverick than a giant red steelie.

I agree with the cyclone, Maverick would be a good name for a woodie, but not a steelie.

I still haven't seen any good names on here that people have come up with.

Ride-on

On rcdb.com there are no coasters wood or steel named Maverick.

Calm down!:) Your getting ahead of yourself. No one has even voted yet. This isn't a poll either.

If real elections are any indication, less than half of us voted.

So, Jugga - back on "track" with the taco idea. It COULD be 2 tracks, then. Inner, and Outer, maybe?

And with the lake so close, we'll get the full sensory experience.

And it's an Intamin, so it will even be tempermental, and "broken" once a month :)

(I actually like Intamins, but that joke had to be made)

So what you're trying to say by posting that definition is that it means something to the effect of a deserter or a loner. A rogue cell even, if you will.

Well, that solves it, we know exactly what the coaster's going to be like now that we have the definition of maverick.

Sorry folks, case closed....moose out front shoulda told ya.

hmm... just a suggestion and i'm sure Your mom is too fat to ride TTD willl like this, but what about "Git-r-dun: The Ride"????

hehe...

Your mom is too fat to ride TTD, tell me. When I visited Cypress Gardens in January 05, the ride op for the Triple Hurricane allowed as may repeat rides as we wanted, and every time we coasted out of the station he called out, "Git 'er done!" Is that where that comes from? Just curious.

JuggaLotus's avatar

No, its a catch phrase of Larry the Cable Guy.

^ It comes from larry the cable guy he is a comedian/redneck. He first said the phrase on a phone call and the person he was talking to said he had to go do somthing and then larry said well you should go git-r-dun and thats how it started. He is the funniest man in th world!

Let's Get Weird.

Ah, thanks. Shoot, I liked my hypothesis better. Of course, it makes sense the ride op would have also seen this Larry guy. I thought Jim Carrey was the Cable Guy?

nope. http://larrythecableguy.com/
Thats larry!

Let's Get Weird.

I like the name Sidewinder, but if you think thats too generic, call it the Mamba, its the most deadly snake in the world

"Hold your spurs", "We're goin in a whole new direction", "Yall up for some serious sidewindin". The name and nature of this ride could be anything.
