My Strategy

So, I have never been to the Point and my first trip is Monday (driving from NC, 11 hour drive), so naturally I am a little scared of Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster. So my strategy is to ride Windseeker (once, twice if necessary) to get used to the height of Millennium Force. Although, I don't know how am going to contain my nerves on Dragster. Suggestions? Thoughts?

Get use to the height? You are up and back down on MF and TTD so fast that you wont have time to realize how high up you are. Just ride them and get it over with.

I've never been either--heading there this weekend. We have different perspectives though. I've never exactly been afraid of roller coasters. I certainly have those "oh crap" moments when looking down a steep drop, but from the time I first started meeting the height requirements, I have loved riding them.

That said, I don't think Windseeker will necessarily be a good prep for a coaster. I have ridden the KI version, and the thing is, WS will help you get used to heights, but height isn't really the issue on coasters--the drop is (IMO). So I would say that unless height specifically is your fear (in which case several minutes so high might not be the best idea...), I would just work up from the coasters with smaller drops instead.

I'm not knocking WS at all--I think it's a good enough ride. Not really a thrill for me, but a nice view even at KI and I can only imagine the view from the CP version is even better.

ditto. +1

If you're a Ride Warrior, there should be nothing to worry about.

Actually im not SCARED of heights per say just hate going up the hill having not been that high before during that day and thinking "this is WAY to high" but i feel like on windseeker i can have the "oh crap feeling and get over it quicker and get used to the height. Does that make since?

Whew I hope you're right I just HATE the anticipation of Dragster, And I've been on I305 so not as terrified of MF as I am Dragster.

Its over before you know it. That is what I actually hate about the ride, Id rather sit up there and enjoy the view for a minute.

If I were you I'd go on TTD as soon as you get to the park. You'll get it out of the way and won't have the anxiety and nervous anticipationsbuilding up all throughout the day. Plus then you'll realize how much you"ll love it so you can have the rest of your time at the park to ride it more! But Millennium Force is also an amazing ride. I'd recommend going on it after dragster.
