I just can't believe they spent $27 million on ONE hill! I need some meat on my coasters! Look at what Holiday World is doing with the Voyage for a fraction of the cost! I'm sure Voyage will be much more fun than Dragster in the long run.
Go right through for MSU!
Don't worry CPcyclone, they didn't spend THAT much, it was only $25 million;).

I guess me and you are the ones who agree TTD is worth the wait.
I tell that to everybody that asks me if its worth the wait. I mention to them that I waited for 4 hours one time and they think I'm crazy.........Maybe I'am!:)
Here's to die-hard Dragster Fans everywhere!
P.S.-Sorry it took me sooo long to respond. I was camping. *** Edited 7/31/2005 6:55:16 PM UTC by TTD 120mph***

The longest line I've ever waited in was for Millennium Force, 3 and a half hours for front seat in August 2003. I think that it is the only coaster that I'd wait that long for.

I think the Dragster is good to wait for the first time for over an hour because your anticipation is getting higher the closer you get to the station. After the first time you shouldn't wait more than a half hour becuase it just isn't worth it. I'd rather go on Magnum because of the 10-20 minute wait.
I never actually "wait" for Dragster. I do it early in the morning, and then in the afternoon with a freeway.
TTD is deffinitely worth the wait your first time riding it. I remember my first time on TTD was last summer. The wait was at least an hour, but I was so scared that it seemed to take only a few munites to get to the station. Finally I borded the train, and a mere two minutes later i was getting off.
I remember my first ride. And ever since that, I've been turned into a fanatic.:)

I remember my first ride. And ever since that, I've had no desire to wait in line for it again.

Dragster is definately worth an hour wait. When I was in line for it I had butterflies, and that launch is an amazing experience. You go so fast that your vision seemingly expands and blurrs, sort of like a shift from regular time to bullettime from the Matrix. O yea it also has faster 0-120 acceleration than any sports car, which for a car nut like me is something you have to experience.
Good thing I got to try it out this summer. Now that they have got rid of the Freeway stamp I might never ride it again

Are you talking about riding in the front seat? I tried the front seat the last time I went and I was blown away dude. I wear glasses to and I admit while riding I still felt the blur going through the launch. My hands sweat more then any other seat on the ride. It's worth the hour to wait in line for an hour, but it's even more worth it for the front seat car. You wait like 20-25 minutes extra, but the experience is worth it.
Yeah the bugs come out on MF in the front seat too. This one lady has so many on her face you could hardly see her face literally.
I remember when I got hit in the face by a june bug on Millennium. Ouch!!!!

Man Bugs of Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force I haven't had luck with. One reason, is when I ride Millennium Force, when we start going down the hill I managed to swallow a mosquito that was annoying me before we went up the hill. I guess he followed me. And Dragster, I just swallow one because of the launch. They just happen to be flying around the track when the train launches.

I'd rather be crazy, thank you very much. Dragster is still my favorite ride in the park. And I've never met anyone (while riding as a single rider) who didn't love the ride when they got off.

I love the ride, don't get me wrong, it always leaves me speechless. But after my first few rides, all with FreeWay, I feel no need to wait an hour or more for 17 seconds of pure adrenaline unless that hour includes the wait for front.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
