My NoLimits Recreations

Now that we're being really picky.....
The zero-gravity roll on Raptor looks more like a corkscrew in the recreation. I think it looks a little flatter and more stretched out. Don't take it as bashing the model. The recreations are all fantastic. Just think of it as constructive criticism ;)

They're looking pretty nice, but a couple pointers...

The tracks look very pumpy. Take some time to make sure your turns are very fluid.

Your heartlining is way off on a few things, most noticeably, maverick diving turn on the pond. make sure that the heartline is smooth, it's more important than having theactual track look smooth. If the heartline is smooth, the track will be smooth.

If you really want to be thorough, get a protractor and put it on your monitor. use that to make perfectly circular turns.

Thirdly (and I made this mistake when I started NL)

Try not to use pre-fab elements, and do not ever, ever, use the pre-fab zero-g roll on an invert. yours looks like this...

when it should look like this...

On a normal sit down coaster, the zero-g roll will give exactly that, zero g's. You'll notice that at the top of the roll, the heartline is smooth, and not too close together to make for uncomfortable g forces. The track will rotate around the train, keeping the riders and the train from moving around the outside, thus keeping the ride smooth and enjoyable.

When put on an invert, the same roll will create intense g forces, and the heartline roll will not be smooth at the top. The train will have to whip around the track instead of having the track rotate around the train, providing a less comfortable ride.

All in all, a couple of very nice recs. Keep trying and you'll get it down pat!

Where can i download them?

^^Yes. When I went back and looked at Maverick, it was off. I just learned how to use AHG, so my heartlining should be much better.

I noticed how bad the invert 0g was after I saw Raptor's at CP when I went last week. An invert 0g should flatten out at the top more, like you were saying.

Thank you.

You can download all of them here http://www.coaster-net.com/downloadextras.php?action=memberprofile&memberid=1413

My username there is raptor, you will have to search for them, but they are there.

Someone else did a Maverick re-creation, so make sure it says by:raptor.

Ya, double posting is bad and such, but this just didn't fit into the last post.

Here is the latest on TTD:

I want to learn how to make 3d's so I can add the catwalks, elevator, lights, and stuff like that.

Well, There's a really really good Tutorial on how to use the object creator here...

http://www.coasterforce.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=18016

he's going to do tutorials on a bunch of the free 3d creators out there.

Thanks for the link, but Object Creator is too limited for the 3ds I plan to use. I ran into a polygon limit before I could finish the catwalks and I couldn't get the colors I wanted.

Instead, I am going to use Anim8or to make my 3ds.

Like I said, he's going to do some tutorials on a bunch of the other ones, so watch that thread :P

Not to how you say, advertise, spam, w/e, or put down your recreations raptorTDC, which look good by the way, but if you are looking for highly accurate Cedar Point, or any recreation for that matter, www.coastersims.com has the best NoLimits creations on the web. To mention a few CP rides, but there are some HIGHLY accurate recreations of TTD, WT, MF, Raptor, and a few others.

Good luck on the rest of your recreations raptorTDC, it is nice to see fellow NLers out there. :)
