My MF story...

Add to the list of things found in shoes to make kids taller when coming for an official measurement... feminine napkins, socks, rocks (yes rocks), mulch, and complimentary bars of soap from the resorts. It's been 3 years, but those were some of the most memorable from my experiences.

Parents, don't stuff your kids shoes. It's ignorant, and you look like a total jerk when you get caught... On average I caught about 10 parents a day stuffing their kids shoes when I was doing official measurements in Town Hall.

Yep, but what about when you are not the parent? What do you do then?

I'm one of those really annoying bastards that believes that it takes a village, and is more than willing to be a villager. Even if the parents are in earshot, and even if they are family members. Had I been in your shoes, and it been my niece (assuming her father/mother wasn't there), I would have marched her out of the park and to the cabin, and I would have sat there with her until the day was over. If mom or dad was present, I'd've laid into her about the stupidity of her actions, suggested that her day of riding be over, and offered to baby-swap with mom/dad the rest of the day while she watched the rides from the midway.

It would have sucked, and it would have been uncomfortable, but that's what I would have done.

Sorry, Mr Nobel. I don't agree with you on this point. She is not my kid. She is my brother's kid. And I chose to address it with HIM.

His kid, not mine.

Like I said, I'm one of those annoying bastards. But, you asked.

The shoe dose add height.

I've seen shoes on people that add 3-4 inches of height or more.

It was always fun to ask the kid to remove their shoes and wear their parents to measure.

Yeah, that's when it always got ugly and the parents start yelling and swearing. And all the people behind them think that they are qualified to make the decision for me and tell me to let the kid on. Ah...that's what I've missed this summer, stress filled days and angry parents.

I agree....those requirements are there for a reason. These same people would be the ones screaming "sue" if their kid got hurt on that ride...
