My uncle is bringing me and two of my friends to Cedar Point on August 13th and 14th, and it will be one of my friend's birthday on the 14th. Neither of them have been to Cedar Point before and I know that simply going for 2 days is amazing, but what would be something cool to do for my friend's birthday?
If you have any stories to share about celebrating your or another's birthday at cedar point, please share! :D *** Edited 8/7/2007 5:06:40 AM UTC by cpthomasf91***
Buy VIP passes for the day :)
You can go para-sailing, and jet-skiing around Sandusky as well if you wish to do something a little different.
Magnum, Mantis, Raptor, Millennium Force, Maverick, Top Thrill Dragster = ride them
MaxAir, Wicked Twisted, Skyhawk, and Power Tower = ride them if you have time. These rides have always had short waits for me (well I haven't rode Skyhawk) But the other three have been always short.
Frozen bananas are good, and so are the fruit smoothies. TGI Fridays or Famous Dave on Point will probably do the free dessert thing for the birthday.
Also here is a nice little tip for TGI Fridays if you want a free appetizer on top of a free dessert. I think you had to spend $15 or more all together, but thats not hard.
Go to their website www.tgifrdays.com
Click "E-Club"
Join their e-club and it will send you I AM NOT JOKING, a URL via e-mail that works only once and it generates a date (2 or 3 weeks from the date you click the link). I could copy and paste it here but it won't work for you and it will say the page has expired. I signed up my entire family at one point in time :).
Here is one downside, your coupon is only $8 off, and every appetizer at TGI Fridays is $9.29 I believe or higher.
I was like well this doesn't exactly pay for the whole thing but it was good!
Maybe that is something you can do! Plus FYI the "chedder cheeseburger" was only $9.59 with fries at TGI Fridays, and the in-park food is nearly that much for not as...caliber food we will say (but remember the tip). Their smaller portion meals regularly 6.99 to 8.99 are over $11 at the TGI Fridays but I was stuffed with a smaller portioned pasta dish and the appetizer shared with someone else.
Maybe thats something you could do out of the ordinary from the park. Air conditioning, dining at Hotel Breakers by the beach, bar if you so choose. TGI Fridays does mean you might camp at a restaurant for 30-40 minutes. I generally prefer to sit at the bar because your waiter/ress is never too far away so my bill is never far away.
It is an idea.
^I dont know if the TGI FRIDAYS in sandusky are doing this but the one in Fort Wayne had all its appetizers at $4.99.
