Hey, I'm planning on going to this year's Halloweekend for the first time. I'll most likely go the first weekend of October on a Saturday. I just wanted to know, historically, are the crowds heavy or light during these weekends? And I also just wanted to know if all rides except Disaster Transport will be functioning? Any tips to make my Halloweekend more fun would also be appreciated. Thanks!!

Question: How do you explain the actions of millions of people who wait hours upon hours to be dropped down a hill?
Answer: You don't...
first off Disaster Transport WILL still be open..just rerouted to a different entrance thats all..they use the 1st 2 parts of the 3 parts of the queue rooms for the haunt..Both open side by side the last 3 yrs...secondly the crowds are smaller in nature and better IMHO because know the haunts compete for a lot of the crowd as well leaving lines smaller than normal..however many may use halloweekends to take advantage this year in regards to MF!!
My main tip is bring warm clothes..LOL..flying down MF at 92 mph on a 50 degree night may be cool!! haha
JEFF..How about that FAQ..LOL

I was there the second last day the park was open last year ( a Saturday) and it was extremely crowded. Almost every ride had a ridiculous wait. Definitely bring warm clothes. Get there early.
On one of the CP websites I went to, they said that Disaster Transport wouldn't be running because of the new Pharoh's haunted thing. Maybe that person was wrong? Oh well. I hope the lines are on the smaller side. I'm not expecting a 15 minute wait for MF or anything, but if Gemini is about a walk on, I'll be happy.

Do you have a web address?
The crowds for Halloweekends depends mostly on the weather.

Dispatch Master, This is Transport one! I'm losing control, I'm losing control!
Generally the Friday nights during Halloweekends are awesome - walk ons for Raptor (or run-ons like I would do) definitely do bring WARM clothes and invest in one of those ponchos cause rain is likely (in the 3 years Ive gone it has rained every time) This year I will be a ride op instead of a guest during Halloweekends
so instead of having fun I get to watch everyone having fun.....
sounds good to me!!

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight??
To anyone coming to Halloweekends....I would avoid Sept. 22, 23 and 24th. This weekend will be VERY busy as it is the first Halloweekend.

the first Halloweekend is not usually the busiest
I've got a question along these lines. This is my first year with a season pass, as well as my first year going to Halloweekends. I know ticket prices are lower, but can I still use my pass to get in? I know it sounds kind of dumb, but I just want to be sure.

I will be going the 23rd. I went on a saturday last year. Hour waits for Magnum, Raptor, Mantis, and Power Tower. Most haunted houses were half an hour. EVERYTHING else was walk-on. The last hour the park was open, Magnum and Raptor turned into walk-ons. I hope not much changes since Millennium Force is here. I plan to ride Force twice in the morning, hit drop-side PT, hit Magnum once or twice, then ride Millennium Force the rest of the day. It didn't rain or it wasn't too cold(except in the evening) when I went last year.

3 Force rides:
3-2, 5-1, 9-2
I will be going on the 6 and 7th. I just hope it doesn't rain, and it's not crowded

Gravity knows no force like Millennium Force!
I'm probably going to be going this year for the first time. I went to CP on Aug. 21 (for the first time since, I think, 1990!) and it was my husband's first time. Well, after that it took a lot less persuading than I would've thought to convince him to come back in October. In fact, I think it was his idea. Anyways, we're trying to decide whether to go Oct. 7th or 14th. It sounds like closing weekend is traditionally busy -- right? Maybe Oct. 7th is the way to go in that case. Or won't it really make that big of a difference? In any case, I'm very excited. I love Halloween and Cedar Point so it's cool to combine them!
Looks like I'll be going for the very first day of Halloweekends this year, Sept. 22. It's a friday so I'm not expecting large crowds, but I would like to see ~30 min lines for Millennium Force. Think that is possible?
Thanks.
