My 3-year-old daughter is tall enough to ride the Jr Gemini and the Woodstock express this year so I can hop on those two with her. I have ridden every other coaster countless times except the two that scare the crap out of me. Mean Streak and Wildcat LOL. I am scared of the Mean Streak only because it looks so rough and I HATE getting beat up on rides. The Wildcat looks like the little car could go careening off the track at any moment. My niece and I both admitted to being afraid of Wildcat through a lot of laughs. Now we would ride the any other big steely in the park a hundred times a day, but that Wildcat looks too scary for us. Any tips on conquering my two white whales?
Ok that'll work for the Wildcat sassy pants :) How can I prevent getting beat to Hell on MS? Maybe I'll save it for the last ride of the last day so if I'm too sore to ride anymore it won't matter!
Are you serious? Wildcat is a little carnival-type ride for families. Mean streak can beat you up but if you ride front seat, then you will probably be fine. Gald to see you are conquering all the big "steelies" though!
That's why WC looks scary, because it looks like a cheap carnival ride LOL. I would rather ride a behemoth than a spin and puke ride put together by a questionable carnie....I just always put it off to the side because I don't like to waste my time at CP for the little crappy rides. But since I have the opportunity to ride every coaster now (thanks to my short-enough-to-ride companion) I have to ride MS and WC. I can't even muster a scream anymore on MF, Magnum or TTD, but I think I might scream on WC LMAO.
Wildcat is definitely under rated. That little coaster packs a punch and is very fun!
For mean streak ... ride in the front... and hold your back away from the seat. If you do not hold your back on the seat you don't get quite as much vibration from the train as you would.
We rode all of the rides this year except Jr. Gemini. Anyone can ride Woodstock, and to be honest its not a bad ride. Before we left I decided to ride Mean Streak again, even though it was very rough. The first ride was in front, but I found it much smoother on the Gold Train in the very back.
Good Luck.

Would you suggest I hold on? I have a rule of no holding on but if it will save my skeleton I might change my mind for this one.
The wierd thing about MS is that I have never loathed the ride due to its roughness (SOB at Kings Island for me is the baramoter for roughness)...but rather its slowness and "yawn-factor".
Sit in the first seat of MS; it appears to be the smoothest from all the rides I have had. Prepare to be unthrilled.
Promoter of fog.
I'm still trying to get my Jr. Gemini Credit, maybe at Coaster Mania I can find a way on it. (any one wanna let me borrow their kid? LOL)

LOL, good luck with that!
Hahaha, jr. gemini was my first Cedar Point coaster....rode it when I was about 8 years old and too scared for anything. I was actually too tall for the ride to ride it at that age, so my dad actually fought with some manager to let me on the ride.
That being said, I have been on all 17 of the parks current coasters.
As said above sit away from the back of the seat. I would hang on, but its up to you. Wildcat is fun, I love the helix! Have fun. :)
Let's Get Weird.
I think the scariest coaster by far was the CCMR. I rode it with my exhusband who was a LOT bigger than me. As I recall we had to share the lap bar and it came nowhere near my lap. I got slammed around on that ride so bad that I had a huge welt on my back and I will never ride it again. I much prefer the smooth gigantic coasters to the rough crappy little ones LOL.
