Music on Opening Day

The music at the park yesterday was bad. They played the same 10 (approx) songs all day. I like Dave Matthews, but to hear "What would you say" about every hour was too much. Can't wait for the DJ's to get the tunes crankin' in the lines.
Not to mention the same songs being played on the worlds crappiest speakers.

hmmm...I was thinking I liked Springsteen--till this weekend. You really can hear too too too much of a good thing.
At first I thought "this is a nice mix of music." After the first hour in the park, "boy, this music is getting old." A couple hours later, "wow, I haven't heard this song yet today..." Later into the afternoon, "can't they get on Napster and get some more music?" Near the end of the day, "Would you please get some other music FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!" I was ready to go insane from hearing the same music over and over and over and .......

Crappiest speakers huh not really!!!! There Bose one of the best if not the best. They coulda sound kinda bad because of them being all weather speakers and outside all the time possibly through the winter. Bose are great speakers.

I hope they play:

Linkin Park--One Step Closer
Incubus: Drive
Three Doors Down: Kryptonite, Duck and Run
Other newer groups that don't have any "objectional lyrics".
It seemed like when I went in '98 that the sound systems at CP sounded fairly decent. I think they might have been new that year. But with constant weather abuse, they're bound to get pretty bad. As some people (Jeff I think) have stated before, they really aren't doing the sound right. Rather than blasting two speakers full blast from one location, they need to adopt the "airport" concept and have more speakers at lower volume levels. That way, everyone in line would have a similar experience, rather than the people next to the speakers getting blasted away and everyone else barely hearing anything. It seems like CP has listened to us on a couple things - maybe this one will happen someday! :)

Arghhh I was so irritated by that music... all the same darn songs - "Zoot Suit Riot", that Venus song, Santana w/ Smooth, and that's about it. By the end of the day I felt like I knew every single word to every single song. And then later in the day I was asked to take a survey, and one of the questions was "Rate the music that is played over the speakers around the park"... hehe I think I gave it the worst possible.

Remember I had mentioned not hearing "Love Shack" all day? (Prob because Banshee wasnt on our "must ride" list) when b/f and I were heading to Raptor guess what was playing by the "Dodge 'Ems"
I got excited....b/f looked at me like I was nuts. (GOT to get him "broken in"!!!)

If I cant ride it, rope it, pull a trailer behind it, then I dont want it!! Cowgirl up!!
I got so sick of that music by the end of the day. They need to get a wider colection of music to play, LoL.

MF 2001 - Double digits already.. and that's only the second day. :)
The music that was being played on the midways on opening day was the same music that they played last summer. That was before they started to play the halloween music for Halloweekends.

Bose spearkers are in some places, but in others it sounds like they are blasting music from phonograhps. Bose spearkers or not, I think it sounds horrible in most places. Guess I'm spoiled by the system in my car :).

Same songs all day Tuesday :(.

Bose speakers-now thats the problem!!!
"NO HIGHS,NOW LOWS,MUST BE BOSE"

Marching-Band crap?!?!?!?

Hey--I LIKED the old turn-of-the-century 'oompah' stuff (I wish I could get a copy of their old music on DVD...but I digress).

Sometimes, when Cedar Point modernizes they go backwards.

At least I hope most of you would agree that the lively old music was more appropriate than the out-of-context cartoon music they blare at Six Flags!!!
