That $1,000,000 song. How about the new "graduation" song as well. I just hope we will not hear to much "Millennium style music" in Millennium Force's line area.

Millennium Force will be the next to sink!
That's pretty funny because intentional or not, Hooper's list was almost exactly what they played last year.
Also- the heaviest song your ever gonna hear at CP is probably Fly by Lenny Kravitz, so sorry all you Metallica/Korn/Limp Bizkit fans.
I would love to hear Carmina Burana. (sp?) Okay, some of you may not recognize this by name, but if you heard it you would probably remember it being in many, many movies. It really gets me pumps up.
Also, Fanfare for the Common Man would be cool. They could have both the original Copland arrangement and Emerson, Lake, and Palmer's version.
Beethoven's, "Ode to Joy." Hindemith's "Symphonic Metamorphises". The "Sorcerer's Apprentice" (no that song wasn't written for Disney), Hotz's "Mars" and "Jupiter". "Rite of Spring" would also be fun.
I would also love to hear some occassional jazz in line. Frank Sinatra would be cool.
Yes, I do like rock and pop music, but I thought that I would list some different ideas for the fun of it.

You know, this brings up an interesting point. I was at Opryland a few years ago..(before they closed it) and rode the Hangman there. In the station and going up the lift hill, they played classical arrangements form movies and symphonies. It was really cool! I heard the Cowboy's theme(John Willams) in line and in the station, and Dvorak's New Workd Symphony over the speakers going up the lift hill! It really got my adrenaline going!!!! That would be a cool idea for MF!

MF...taking thrills to new heights!
that 1 million dollar song is if I had a million dollars by barenaked ladies magnum is sinking. And RPerz i do remember them playing fly away, baby likes to rock it and allstar last year. didn't know they played those others. Allright that means i will get to hear music i like. :)

Welcome back Millennium Force riders...We all want to know how was your RIDE!!!!!

Natas...I love you!!!...err, yeah... Well anyway, I agree with you on you ideas regarding the classical, especially the Orff. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: get out before winter is over and buy Carmina Burana, people. Who cares what it is--just listen to it and you'll become addicted. Well, if I can't get that for the Mf unveiling , though, top 40 would be nice. Hecks, Brittney Spears sings well, and she's good looking to boot. :) The Backstreet Boys and Lenny on the other hand just have good music. Ok guys, now you can flame me...

I can't remember...but last year I think in the cue for Magnum they played Blur--Song 2....its a relativly heavy song. I would like to hear more heavy stuff like maybe some Deftones (hey...I can dream cant I..lol), also some softer stuff, like Semisonic and some light Pink Floyd (wish you were here)...or some Live would be great.

Speaking of classical - at Busch Grdens Williamsburg, I was shocked to hear actual classical music over their loudspeakers, including the Montague & Capulets movement from Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet (pretty dark stuff). It was in the Italy section, so it made sense, and I guessed I should not have been shocked, as BGW is a very classy park. (And it's kinda ironic, with Natas' reference to Beethoven's Ninth (Ode to Joy) - that's always been the music I've associated with the Magnum, since the day I first rode it.)

Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill.
Now, for all the wrestling fan there at the Point and for all of the JERICHOHOLIC'S they should play in MF line Break Down the Walls!! Cuz, all the hills are walls once u are standing in the middle on the ride. Now its MF2K COUNT DOWN!!!
You gotta love those 80's though
I say that when the point opens up in the morning the should play that song "all i want to do is have some fun." and at night when they close they should play "Closing Time".
-------------
Welcome back Raptor Riders how was your Flight? I hope you enjoyed your ride on Raptor.
The DJ for Magnum played "Closing Time" numerous times for the last song of the night last year.

Yeah and here's part of my 80's contribution, although I think most hard rock songs fit really well with CP rollercoasters.
1."Crazy Train" by Ozzy
2."Dreams" by Van Halen- "Higher and Higher, Straight Up We'll Climb!"
3."Wild Side" by Motley Crue
4."Lit Up" by Buckcherry
5."Rock You Like a Hurricane" by Scorpions
6."Hell's Bells" or "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC
7."One Way to Rock" by Sammy Hagar
8."Enter Sandman" by Metallica
9."Unchanined" or "Right Now" by Van Halen
10."There Goes My Hero" by Foo Fighters (For Richard Kinzel!)
I can picture in my mind a video that would feature CP rollercoasters for everyone of these songs. I think I could go on forever with my list but I'll spare everyone.
Thanks everyone, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only coaster fan who likes classical music.
Now, to ruin my reputation, I also have to request "Oh Mickey" by Toni Bazzle. That is my favorite song from childhood. I think that I enjoyed it because of the cheerleaders in the video. I know that it's tacky, but I just can't help singing along with it.

OH MY GOD BERNZ I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT CRAZY TRAIN!!! Thank you for pointing that one out!!!
They should play AC/DC's Thunderstruck in the MF queue after the first thunderstorm of the season!
He He He!!!:)

Thank you for riding Raptor and enjoy your day here at Cedar Point, America's RollerCoast!
Bernz, I like your list, but unfortunatly, I seriously doubt we would hear Lit Up at cedar point (lol). I would love to hear it there, but...there is something about a song that is talking about doing coke that doesnt apeal to families.....lol. And RPerz, I agree, lol.

Yeah, most hard rock doesn't fit too well in a family park, especially "Lit Up". It's funny how you can like a song, but not necessarily agree with the message. I like the message GTTP member "kakarot" always posts - "Who needs drugs when you have Cedar Point!" Now to get back on the topic. I do like the one song listed by Sparty25- "Crush Em". I also thought of 2 good songs for MS- "You Shook Me All Night Long" and "Bang Your Head". For spinny rides I like "Round and Round" by Ratt. Oh God I am so stuck in the 80's sometimes!Lol!
Bang Your Head, lol....perfict for MS...lol...
