Moving rides

I have been to Six Flags once and found it to be to crowded. The park has some pretty good rides but i vowed never to go back because you were on top of one another. I hope Cedar Fair being the great park curators they are will move osme of these rides next off season to the other side of the park to allow them to widen midways and such. The other topic I am lookign forward to is the way Cedar Fair manacures the landscape in the midways and around and under the rides. I noticed when visitng Six Flags weeds and such growing under the rides I rode.

What do you all think?

I give it a couple years, but GL will look fabulous when it's all said and done in the end.

If CF keeps the wildlife(south side) and expands upon it I too hope they relocate some rides to that side of the park. The log ride and Grizzly Run for starters. Two pretty popular man attractions that would help draw people to that side. relocating GR would open up vast space for flats, shops, stands, games, and hopefully a full service sit down restuarant which the park has been lacking for awhile now.

Speaking of sit down resteraunts, in 2001 and 2002 there was a stand on the 'animal park' side that had the BEST beef fajitas ever. There was an outdoor patio seating area. I'd love to see them keep this place around.

I don't believe that CF has the animals, I believe they were property of Six Flags. But anyways, on the expanding of rides, like Chris said, it's gonna take a few years. I wouldn't expect any major movements for this year. But I'm sure they are going to be busy come November this year. There is so much land over there, the options of what CF could do are numerous. Personally, I would like to see them make ONE parking lot and enterance to the park. I remember going to SFWoA once and we apparently went to the wrong enterance and had to drive all the way around to the other one. (this was after we were parked and at the front gate) That IMO would be a big thing to change.

Cedar Fair didn't buy the animals because they didn't feel they had enough experience with the care of the animals. As far as I know Six Flags is either selling the animals or moving them around.

Six flags moved all the animals. That's what I heard on the news.

Most if not all the animals are still at the park, and waiting till at least the sale is final to start moving out. They will probably not move all at once but take a good part of the season to move.

For some reason I doubt that when the park opens as Geauga Lake, Six Flags' animals will still be in there.

Will they be charged rent till they 'find a new place,' or what?
