Movie/ TV show coasters

I realized how much millennium is so much like star wars in some ways, as well as Valravn being a lot like game of thrones. I know the park is not affiliated with them, but it's obvious they're loosely based off of it.

MF- the name "force" as in "the force" from star wars, and "millennium falcon" = Millennium force. The station is basic, but has that star wars spacey feel. Riding it on a clear starry night is like going up into space even!

Valravn- the whole recent Battle for CP thing and the throne at the entrance and the general theme. Also the décor around the ride gives off that "game of thrones" feel. I guess the bird can kind of be like the dragons from the show.

According to a ride operator, the Magnum trains were inspired by Star Wars.

CP Top 5: 1) Steel Vengeance 2) Maverick 3) Magnum 4) Raptor 5) Millennium

Oh my God! The Mine Ride reminds me of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom! Crap! You are onto something!

That's so crazy you say that. I've definitely thought the exact same things. Also, Wicked Twister...inspired by Wizard of Oz?
WICKED (witch of the west) TWISTER (as in what caused Dorothy to land in Munchkin Land

Gatekeeper is based on Ghost Busters

And it's yellow like the yellow brick road.

About the post of Mine Ride reminding you of Indiana Jones, IIRC, Adventure Express at Kings Island was originally an Indiana Jones ride. That ride is similar to CCMR, it's an Arrow mine train coaster.

My wife refers to Skyhawk as a "swing-set on steroids". I guess that makes it WWE or whatever the wrestling "entertainment" show is. I miss Dick the Bulldog Brauer & Famparo Furpo.

Of course, Cedar Creek Mine Ride was built in 1969, a full twelve years before Indy first graced the big screen and fifteen before the Temple of Doom.

What year did Lucas visit Cedar Point?

My sarcasm detector just went off...

Okay, so these are not coasters but..... my son thinks Power Tower looks like the monsters from the Tom Cruise War of the Worlds movie.

Cadillac Cars is patterned after that famous 60's sitcom "My Mother the Car".
