Hi everyone. Remember a couple of years ago when a movie was supposed to be shot in the park? Whatever happened with that? Does anyone know?
Thanks

You mean, it's not everything you ever expected of a martian movie based at an amusement park would be? ;)

^^ More like not what I expected from a martian movie period. The only obvious good scene was with Dragster....though its odd that the park would still be running the coasters when about 500 people got melted at the front gates......not to mention that theres nobody in the park at all!
Oh I got it! The martians were controlling Dragster!! Of course!!:)

That has got to be the worst movie in the history of movies!! LOL!!!
"Edge of Seventeen" also took place at Cedar Point. At least some of it did. This was back in '98 though.
I was in that movie. But then, pretty much everyone was in that movie. :)
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I was one of the extras, but I didn't end up in the shot.

Wasn't http://www.pointbuzz.com/news.htm?id=425 working?
I had the chance to sign up for being an extra for that movie, but didn't take it. I knew it was going to be a crappy movie, but DAMN! Thats cinema at it's worst.

Instead of making payment to Cedar Point, the movie's producer will donate a portion of the movie's profits to the Firelands Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Anyone else feel sorry for the Red Cross since they probably made no money on this disaster of a film?

With what would appear to be such a low budget, not many copies of the movie would have to sell (compared to the average straight-to-video movie)before they started turning a profit.

Hey, low budget B movies are usually amongst the best just BECAUSE of their cheesy-ness.
And that gratuitous use of Dragster was horrible. I wonder how many times they had to shoot it before Dragster got its part right?

That right there is my .03 seconds of fame. When she comes walking in the park, I'm in that first group of people that walk by, and then the little kids scream at her. I was there until 3:30 in the morning for 1 second of possibly the worst movie ever.
It was totally worth it :) *** Edited 1/21/2007 5:39:49 PM UTC by Gerg***

Even better were the scenes of the CP skyline that were used in the Evel Kneival movie on TNT a couple years ago starring George Eads (CSI). Its supposed to be a jump down at Kings Island (or at least in Kings Mills) in the late 70's, yet Millennium and Mantis are featured prominently in the skyline shots of the park.
Only off by a couple hundred miles and couple decades.
