Motorbike Coaster.

I just found this cool motorbike coaster on www.vekoma.com in the news section and on www.nolimits.com ...I think they're pretty cool, maybe Cedar Point will get one...but I think before they get it they'll probably wiat untill they're more known. I'd love to ride one of those things at 80-90mph instead of 40mph...I think Cedar Point could get one...not any time too soon though...what do you guys think of it? looks like it'd have good capacity because they'res a picture of it on nolimits.com and it looks like they've got a nice size train...I'm just wondering about how long it would take them to load/unload...anway, it looks pretty good to me...what do you guys think about it? Yey or ney?

What your talking about is a vekoma boosterbike coaster, and it doesnt have so great of a capacity since its only 16 people per train there is already one at toverland in the UK btw

Yey, cause I know CP would have it designed to be awsome. BUT... I don't think that they will be getting one due to low capacity as RobbieM stated.

"Baby I'm ready to go!" Dragster 2004

I'd think that even if it didn't go very fast, maybe 50 or 60 mph, even 40, it'd be a nice ride just because of the unique seating. Knowing CP, though, if they did put it in it'd go at least 60. How exactly does the restraint system work? I couldn't really tell from the pictures.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

The only thing I really know about the restraints, is they come down from behind you, and kinda "press down" on your back. *** Edited 8/28/2004 3:40:14 AM UTC by Grovite18***

Might just be nit-picking here, but Toverland in in The Netherlands, not the UK. Looks kinda cool, but at the same time has a sorta childish look around. Would be cool if they out one in like Camp Snoopy. *** Edited 8/28/2004 11:18:20 AM UTC by ScottishLou***

Are they going to actually have this type of coaster in the next version of NoLimits? It looks like it has a cable launch in the demo, rather than wheels or LIM, that would be so cool!

It would be sweet is the Uk was right next to the US so you would have to take a plane. Or the the SR-71 blackbird and make it a 1h 40m flight.
maybe we could get CP to have the trains modified to fit on TTD! :) *** Edited 8/29/2004 4:17:31 AM UTC by Magnum "Candy" Man***

Still wouldn't let you get on the coaster in question as it is in the Netherlands. Or Holland, what ever you want to call it. Holland is across the English Channel from the UK. The UK consisits of Scotland, England Wales and Northern Ireland. We have some pretty cool coasters here in the UK (nemisis to name one). And it is only like a 7 hour flight from JFK to London Heathrow! No motorbike coasters tho

ScottishLou,

I listen to the BBC a lot, as i love english culture, and i have a friend from wokingham in berkshire. i was listening to paul miller talking about fairs/carnivals and theme parks to all of Southern England. It was a great show!! I sent him an email (that he read) telling how I want to go to thorpe, chessington, alton towers, pleasure beach and the like, i also sent info on top thrill dragster with some pictures, but sadly he did not mention it. i also mentioned that i collect episodes of steptoe and son, till death do us part, and i am looking to get some man about the house as well. for those of you on this side of the pond, the three series i just mentioned started in England, and were all brought to the US by Norman Leair. You would know the shoes by the names given to the US versions. In order, they are Sanford and Son, All in the FAmily and Threes Company. while Archie Bunker was funny, his English Counterpart Alf Garnette is a RIOT!!!! I still think it is amusing that you have to pay a fee to watch over-the-air TV over there... Granted it is commercial free, but still....
