How hilarious would it be if that became a nest that cp couldn't disturb.

Oi, they have more of it on facebook. I find this to be kind of cool to be honest. An eagle watching over Steel Vengeance. You know, they have more of it on their facebook. GL2CP, I think they would have to disturb it. Eagles build platform nests, and they can often get to weigh up to a ton. That would likely damage the coaster.

As for a caption: "This is my coaster. Go find your own."

^The train that the supports will have have to regularly carry is much heavier than an eagle's nest. And considering the strictness of eagle-related laws, I imagine that if an eagle's nest somehow appeared in SV's structure overnight, they would either need a permit to remove the nest and its residents, or they would be SOL. Luckily, I haven't heard of eagles building nests in buildings. But I believe eagles' nests have caused issues when present in a tree on a property.

On another note, eagles seem to like Steel Vengeance. About a year ago, I went out to Marblehead and the marinas in the bay to get pictures of the deconstruction process on Mean Streak (almost, if not all, of the track was gone by this point.) Looking back at those pictures, there were what appeared to be bald eagles perched on the tips of the highest lift supports.

I think it was at a Winter Chill Out John Hildebrandt talked about one of the perks of working on the peninsula in the off-season was getting to see the eagles that would hang out around Lighthouse Point.

GigaG- Do you still have those pictures? I found a picture like you are describing and had saved it to my phone. Lost it when my phone took a crap in August... The one I saved had Maverick in the foreground, looked bright red in the sunlight...

I didn't know that eagles hung around the park. It would be cool however to see eagles climbing up the lift hill. This is a spur of the moment idea, but why not play this music in the train going up the lift hill? Make the ride a lot scarier...

This scared me to death as a kid.

Bryan Edwards retweeted this from the Sandusky Register, where I then saw a second link about Eagles "invading" Sandusky bay.
