# 1 Bungee jumping
# 2 Jumping into an unfamiliar river in Tennessee from a 35-foot cliff
I was going to jump off the Empire State Building since everyone else was doing it, but I remembered my Mom's advice not to.
# 3 This will sound lame but my first ride on WT was in the dark, in a light rain. That was so intense we re-rode it 5 times in a row.
# 4 In her parent's house with them home
# 5 The anticipation before dropping on PT is still a great thrill.
Just say no to trims

I would have to agree haha.
2010: Magnum XL-200 Ride Host
For me it would be riding Wicked Twister in the early morning when your still half sleeping, having one of the first rides on Shiverin' Timbers in the morning, and riding Millennium in the rain. Probably not as thrilling as others.

Michigan's Adventure - 2009 - Ride Host - Logger's Run, Sea Dragon, Dodgems
Geauga Lake 1888-2007
I would say it is the rip cord. The power tower turbo drop is very close and they are similar thrills but the rip cord has the power tower beat. Both are great rides though.
Arms down, head back, and hold on.....
For all of the people saying "Big Shot on the Stratosphere," when is the last time you went? The other two rides on the top of the tower are MUCH more intense and frightening.
For me, it has to be the front seat on Xscream on the Stratosphere. It is the single most frightening thing that I have ever done.
Xscream:

The other thrill ride, Insanity:

How about this- the adreniline rush you get when you are ripped from a dead sleep by your husband because the neighbor boy threw something long, wooden, and hard at your daughter's head, and she's gushing blood everywhere. ;) Now THAT gives you an adreniline rush you aren't expecting at all, so there's no build up ;)
Looking forward to Cedar Point- July 4th-5th, 2007!
Needless to say, I would probably would have returned the favor.......
It'd turn out like that episode of Family Guy when Peter goes to talk to a kid about bullying Chris and ends up getting annoyed by the kid and beats him up. That whole series of events was great.:) *** Edited 4/18/2007 12:04:17 PM UTC by TTD 120mph***
-Adam G- The OG Dragster nut
^^rofl... yeah, I was ready to. ;) I tell you what, though, I've never gotten such a rush on a coaster that lasted as long.
Looking forward to Cedar Point- July 4th-5th, 2007!
I'm not sure of the order of these, and there are probably more insane thrills I've been through. Nonetheless, these are ones I still remember.
One would most definitely have to be Top Thrill Dragster. I don't know exactly how I was convinced to go on it in the first place, but I think it had something to do with a girl I was trying to impress.
Next, going from around 40 to a dead stop without getting hit from either end in my grandma's friend's lease car.
On an unrecalled freeway, going from 70 to a dead stop, managing to do so safely.
Another was on the freeway. My dad was driving, roughly 105mph in the rain, north on I-75 toward Flint.
Not that impressive, I know. But hey, I have many years left ahead of me. Don't I?
Not if you keep getting in the car with people that drive like that. ;)
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
So far my top thrill rides have been (in no order)Ripcord, PT, TTD, Oblivion in Alton Towers UK (drop coaster into a black hole) and that ball cage that's on elastic bands that flips you into the air and the gage bounces and spins in a free-fall. I don't know the name of it and KI no longer has it, I don't think.
I'd love to do those rides at the Stratosphere. I think the sliding one would almost have me soiling my pants though.
2 rides I'm terrified of that make people think I'm a wuss: the Ferris Wheel and the Sky Ride. I don't like the 'not-buckled-in-thing-and-we-can-tip-over-at-any-time' feeling.
I've never met anyone else stateside that's also been to Alton Towers. It was a long drive for hubby from his parents place over there, but it was fun. I can't believe they put an actual lake there you have to walk all the way around! What a waste of riding time! And they did have the mist on in the tunnel for us. It was cool! We've also been to Thorpe Park over there. He wants to go to Blackpool.
I could be mistaken, but I believe the lake was created back in the 1800s when the park was only a formal garden. It wasn't until the 1980s when AT decided to start putting in thrill rides. That's what makes the park so unique. Personally I loved the park. They definitely go for quality above quantity on their coasters.
I think she just threw in Oblivion so she could lord it over all the rest of us peons that have never been to Europe, let alone Alton Towers. ;)

Go ride it, you'll agree with her. The ride is awesome - as are all their rides. I sorta made the trip to England just for Alton. LOL!! Well, I'd always wanted to visit London too and my roommate from college lives there now, so it all worked out. I've never really been "scared" on a coaster before, but Oblivion was freaky the first time - well, ok every time.
