morning help with millennium force

Hi there

I will be visiting Cedar Point in 2 weeks and was wanting some information on ride wait times.

We will be arriving at the park around 8 am to try to be ahead of things. Now when they open the gates to the park and we run to Millennium Force, how long can we expect to wait in line for this one BAD Coaster?

Any input would be great !!

Thanks
Chris
Don't RUN to MF, the gates open at 9, if you get in when they open whether you run like a blithering 12 year old idiot or not,you will get to ride it, when people sprint like morons, they either fall and hurt themselves or someone else. If you don't run,you will be on within an hour, not everyone gets to the park when it opens so the line in the morning will not be bad at all.
I agree... We got to the park on AAA day at 9:15 - 45 minutes before the gates opened. There were people there already - probably the same amount of people that will be at the park 45 minutes before the gates open on a regular operating day. It took us a couple of minutes to give our tickets to the CP employees and then we started walking back to MF. Many others were running and the security kept telling them to walk. We got back to MF between 10:10 and 10:15. Within 5 minutes of getting back there, the first train with people visiting the park went up the hill. We were off of the ride by 10:45. So we only waited 30 minutes once we got in the park. And that was because the trains were not running to their true capacity. (Jeff talks about this in anohter thread.) According to Jeff's calculations, and if the trains would have been running at full capacity, we should have been off in about 15-20 minutes instead. Bottom line: get to the park before the gates actually open, walk to the ticket takers, walk to MF and within 1/2 hour of the first train being sent up the hill with park passengers/visitor on, you'll get to ride it. Doesn't this sound accurate Jeff?

At least security stopped the olympians, I have nothing against enthusiasm or fast walking but a mob of 5000 people is not the place for sprinting to a ride. It's just too damn hot :)
You would think that everyone was running for their dear lives sunday morning.....I never even knew the park was open until i saw a continous line of people heading (running) to MF.

To be honest with you. I would start with the raptor and head towards the other neck of the park to ride the magnun. At this rate you could ride all the coasters by at least by 2 if not sooner. you have the rest of the day to relax and then you could think about rideing MF before you leave the park. So what if you have to wait 3 hours in line for MF. I think it's a better experience at night anyways.

I know safety is no accident but running is half the fun. :)

And it's quite amusing for those of us who will get to watch it for the next 6 months! :)
