More track goes up...

On the CP webcam it looks like more track is being placed today.

Yep, the final pieces of the forward tower are going up right now.  If all goes well, they should be able to finish the trackwork today.

OK, the track is finished on the far tower.  Wow. That's all I can say...that thing is a monster.  I can't wait.

Oh my god! I can not belive how huge that realy is.  I was out at the park on sunday to get pics, and it wasn't nearly that tall, I thought they only needed 2 more peices, I was way off!  I will try to get the pics up though as soon as I get them back.

Those are the last two pieces. There are only two track sections entirely above the top of the support structure.

According to the spiel. The Space Siral tower height is 330 feet and is the tallest ride in the park. The cabin rises 280.  However, I'm a little confused as to whether 280 feet is the bottom of the cabin, the middle or the top....

Normally when I go to the point I dont have time to get on the "spiral" because I live 3 hours away, and when I go its a one day excursion...and for that one day its coaster coasters coasters flat ride...COASTERS....I need a day when I can explore the point for all its worth...when I was younger I rode the space spiral only because I was coasterphobic and i thought it was cool because it was taller than Magnum....anyway...thats to answer your question Jeff...sorry about being longwinded...and one more tidbit...the only coaster ive never rode at CP is Wildcat...I just dont see it as worth it....now im gonna get yelled at

Rissabo, it's been topped off for awhile.

CoastFreak, I agree to an extent.  I won't really wait more than 15 minutes for WildCat, but it is fun, and it's usually not crowded early when everyone runs to MF.  It'll probably even be less crowded if everyone runs to Wicked Twister this year.
