More queues with music

I noticed that practically every queue that could have music playing opening weekend...had music playing with no DJ.

Millennium Force was playing poptronica I call it (electronic pop music), or how most of America sees it. Techno

I think Mantis had country music on........

If I recall lines didn't have music playing unless they had DJ's and I have only seen queues with music during the peak season.

I enjoy the different varieties of music. You have your millennium ride playing techno which is key I think :). What is more millenniumesque than techno music.

I remember the days when there was an actual DJ at MF from open to close that you could request songs. That was back in the 4 hour line days!

Maverick steals the #1 spot, sorry MF

^Heck I remember when Raptor, Magnum, and even Power Tower had DJs there every day from opening to close.

Now a days, Raptor and MF should have DJs there pretty much the whole day, those queues are mostly full.

On a moderately busy weekday last July there was a "live" DJ in the Millennium queue taking requests with the line not even starting until way past the vending machines!!

Some teenage girls were requesting pop stuff like Justin Timberlake and when there were no requests this (female) DJ played R&B like Chris Brown.

I requested some DMB (Ants Marching), which was enthusiastically played and made the 30 mins wait or so way more enjoyable!!

Ants Marching is way overplayed at CP... it used to be/still is on the main midway loop as well...

Ripcord Crew 2002 / MF Crew 2004

the DJs are normally there from june til august.

I don't get why TTD never had a DJ. Anyone know?

There isn't too much room in there to fit a DJ stand.

They could fit something in there. It does not have to me in the middle.

When I worked at MF one of our DJ's had the annoying habit of playing this particular work of unredeemable trash 5 times or more during his shift. I finally begged him to stop playing it so much and he begrudgingly obliged.

2005 - Snake River Falls
2006 - MF, WT, CCMR (and pretty much everything else...)
2007 and beyond - Disney

Haha. I love electronic music and all kinds of music.

So even DMB is cool with me. It might not be a favorite, but still.

If CP played the music from Apple commercials I would be down with it even.

I like how the types of mmusic played in the queue fits with the theme of
the coaster. Many times waiting for Magnum, there's a lot of 80s songs played.
It really fits in with the time period that Magnum was built.

Sex + Apple + CP... Could that get any better? ;)

No it could not lol. Didnt someone last year say CP should put a DJ stand at the 1st level of TTD's tower? That would be a cool job.

OK, here we go. I'm going to throw it out there and let myself be destroyed. MF's music is NOT good. I like techno for the ride, don't get me wrong. But when "Breakfast at Tiffany's" is re-made in techno, I have a problem. The ride is futuristic. Not infuriating. And 45 minutes, capped off by a "Breakfast at Tiffany's" remix, is pretty upsetting. I have always loved the live DJ's and the music (especially the station music). It normally gets me that much more excited for the ride. But last weekend it really only annoyed me.

Im pretty sure Highway to Hell is on the Halloweekends Midway Music Rotation.

Millennium Force's queue when no DJ is present is terrible. Most people (other than a select few Point Buzzers) hate the computer music they play!

A volume control would be nice. To Freakin Loud!!!

But then if you put a DJ booth on TTD you might as well have them out on the midway because from there they can't interact with guests in the queue.
