More I-75 construction....

Just as an FYI, I was reading in the news today that there will be more construction on 75 between Gibraltar Road and 275. They're widening the roads and it starts April. It will consist of lane closures, much like the construction that was JUST finished last year.

Just giving everyone a heads up.

Damn I thought that we were in the clear this year. I can handle the 75 construction at the bridge, but I was really hoping that we wouldn't have to deal with backups due to construction lane closures.

:(I hate construction.

UGH!!!! :( That stinks. Didn't us i-94 people just get over a whole re-construction of that freeway?

When will it ever end?

Sucks to be in Ohio with road construction. I usually only drive on I-69 now between Ft. Wayne and Indianapolis, and there has been pretty much no construction on 69 since the start of this semester. Its nice not having to worry about it.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Come on, people. This is Michigan. We were born for construction!

Apparently we have to deal with about a billion dollars in road construction throughout Michigan in 2008. Here we go again. Brace yourself.

Here is more info on the I-75 construction, including a map showing where the work will be.

The only place in MICH I will go would be in the CASINOS; "GREEKTOWN". I am going there today. Ohio is one of the States that doesn't have one. I live only 25 minutes from CP.

Save your money till the crook is gone. Head across to Windsor and spend your money there.

That's right! Listen to John. We sure do need your business. And just wait another couple of months until the $400 million expansion opens and it becomes Caesars Windsor. Now that we're talking about it I could go for some roulette....

Craps is the only game to play in a casino. :)

Craps is a good way to lose your money quickly...unless you understand the game, which most casino patrons do not. Of course, the casino managers don't want you to understand the game, it makes their lives easier.

Jeesh, come to Pittsburgh, where they're adding ramps to an interstate to interstate connection that should've been added many years ago, and then 3 miles up, doing another interchange project. All while renaming a piece of road.

It's bad, even the road I live on now has construction.

Well, at least that amazing bridge is complete on I-280 in Toledo...that makes the trek from Detroit much better (too bad it's the improvements in Ohio, not Michigan, that make the commute shorter).

JuggaLotus's avatar

Well, until they figure out how to make wormholes, there's not really a whole lot of ways to shorten the drive down I-75 to Toledo. Plenty of ways to make it longer, slower, and cut-up, but not any shorter.

I never found the I-280 construction to be very difficult to get around. It was either snake underneath the bridge or take I-75 to the Ohio Turnpike.

The construction on I-75 is much more difficult to get around.

I for one welcome any construction this year to fix up our surface streets in Lansing. They are terrible. Surprised I haven't broken a tie rod
