More Bad TTD News

On Columbus news tonight (Sat 6/7), CP officials said they did not know when or if it would open the rest of the summer. We went through the same wait and see thing a couple of weeks ago, and luckily for about 1 hour it ran and we got to ride it. Wow - it is truly worth any wait to ride at least once. We got right back in line again but it broke down again - cables were the problem then. At least CP did give us passes to skip the line when we go back. If they get it back up, it is definitely worth the line, which moves pretty fast when it's running at full capacity.
Now because its your first post and i dont watch the news, i dont know weither to believe it or not but with the way this ride is working, i almost dont doubt it. Glad i went opening day and the ERT night!

Oh great. More bad TTD news. Well, there goes my chance to race for the sky. But I'm still going to CP, TTD or no TTD.
And if there is no TTD, then I guess MF lines get longer right? That sucks..
OMG! A first time poster with late breaking news that turns out to be bad for the park and guests?!? No way! Yeah, whatever dude....

...and the most anticipated event of summer 2003 is...

The Matrix: Reloaded!

Who were the CP officials? The CP brass that spoke at CM yesterday said nothing like that. They are doing everything that they can to get the ride back up as soon as possible.

Launch that sucker...Yeah!

For the billionth time, I hope the ride is up and running in eleven days. This is one of my must rides.
I didn't see the news report myself (am from Columbus as well), however my mom did see it and called to tell me the news. It is true what the original poster posted. (about the newscast) However I don't know who the "CP Officials" were since I did not see the segment air myself.

If the Columbus news tonight news reported this, wouldn't it have been on there website? Every other story is on there. I think TTD will open in a couple days! I hope it is running by next Monday or Tuesday! It is the only days I will be there for YEARS! But if it isn't I will not let it get me down and I will ride all the other coasters and have soooo much fun! If anyone has found the story on the net... post the web address!

I know I'm a new poster. But don't take this lightly. I was at my friend's apartment helping them with some algebra homework. All I heard was "and they don't know when it will open again" then looked up to see our beloved Dragster coming back down the hill on tv. Yes it was on channel 10 news in Columbus, OH. I asked them if they had caught it, neither of them did, so I came back to my apartment and no it isn't on their web page. Why would they say something then not have a story online to back it up? Got me but sorry to those of you who haven't rode it yet. Cause it was great!!!!

I heard today from a "sweep" ::ahem:: that there will be people out Monday to take a look at it. He did know that it was the hydrolics.
Thats a bunch of crap. I watched from the webcam and saw it run. I am fairly certain I even saved the pictures if you really need that hardcore of proof, but I was checking after I noticed water dummies taken out, and wham, when i reset it was coming down the brakes.

All summer, hah, fat chance, sorry for the cynisism.

Not to doubt anybody's intelligence, but can anyone else back-up the 'closed all season' info?!? ..i mean, for real... It just can't be.

Trust me, no one from the park said that they did not know if it would open again this summer - whether the news report was misheard or if it was just a poor choice of words on the part of the TV station.

And people wonder how rumors and urban legends start.
