Geek, I understand your point, but sometimes you just have to live and let live. It may bug some people, me included, when others have to point out every little spelling or punctuation error. I am a horrible speller, as I am sure you can tell, but I will take anybody on when it comes to math or science, those are my strong points. My point is, it just makes those errors even more annoying when there is 2 or 3 posts after them pointing out everything the poster did wrong, Just as this thread has done, me included. Ughhhh, I just annoyed myself. ;)

Grady, have you ever read a post on here that has to do with a math problem? I have, and there have been times when there have been some mistakes in the math. Everyone corrects that, because Math needs to be exact. I agree that math needs to be exact, but there are procedures and rules to follow in the English language just like there are in math. Why can't the English language be more exact?

No, I think you missed my point. My point is if we expect math to be exact, why can't we expect English to be exact? Yes, the language is difficult to learn, but most of the things that people gripe about on this website deal with little things such as punctuation and spelling. I'm not saying it has to be perfect all the time, but it could certainly be better.

No, I thought it just sounded stupid saying "Sorry for picking on you." So I said "Sorry for picking on ya" instead. It's not like I did that accidentally.
