Model

This year in my AutoCAD class I created a 3d model of TTD. It won 6th place at state compitition.(Poster with a few of the images) Here they are.... and yes I already know there are numerous (sp) errors and mistakes.

And my favorite, the entire project... http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/4223/overviewka0.jpg

I also did a 3d model of maxair. I have an animation of maxair but sadly I have dial-up so I can only do pictures. I will get around to taking so pictures from the video when I get around to it.

Yeah, good job, fantastic work.
Yeah there are some aspects of the structure on the tower and track going up the tower(90° and 270° twists) that are a little off........but dont listen to me, I'm very nit pickey and perfectionistic when it comes to building things.:) Be proud in what you can do, not with how perfect it is.

Actually Jessai, we did go on a field trip to CP. It was a drowsy day and Dragster was closed to high winds:( (though I did get 20 rides on MF:)). The sad thing was that my teacher said there was going to be a worksheet about CP and coasters on the way to CP, and I was all over it. But I sadly found out, on the day we went, that she was only joking.

She always liked to joke around with me about my CP obsession. :)

And one of the concerts was our annual Lip Sync concert. Another EC opportunity was plays.....boring plays.

I wish my Physics I or Physics II classes had have incorporated rollercoasters. The professor that I had has taught an "amusement park physics" class as a special topics elective thing before, but not while I've been there, and this fall I won't be there anymore, getting into mechanical engineering, so maybe there will be something there. :-P

Lip Sync concert? O_o Hrm. I've had a teacher REQUIRE us to go to a concert, but that was mainly because she was the choir director too (hey, it was intro to music, easy humanities credit and easy A for me, being a band geek) but eh, I guess that would be the same as giving extra credit for going to what our college calls a talent show.

If I had more K'Nex pieces I'd try to make some sort of launch system for a coaster. They're the only things I can think of that would stand up to the kind of things I would do (at least with simple assembly and without having to pay too much :-P). Either some sort of magnetic system, or a pneumatic or hydraulic launch. Of course I'd probably end up catching something on fire if I did the magnetic thing from firing a lot of current through various materials. Either that or probably melt my K'Nex.

I hate it when pool tables becoming modeling desks.

That's pretty incredible work with ACAD, man. Excellent job.

Actually I built it in the livingroom of my appartment (wife was NOT happy ;) ). I then didn't have a place to put it so I took it over to my grandparents house to store. They have a pool table so I used that for the pictures rather than the floor or a desk. Believe me, the pool table was not injured during the making of this model.
