Missing Ride Trash Can/Parking Lot Signs

Does anyone remember when the CP trash cans would have a photo or logo of whatever major ride was near it on them? They've been modified to the current blue design with a generic coaster in white and the CP logo... yawn. I remember them being a monotone colored image (blue or red), similar to the old signs that were in the main parking lot to define which section you parked in. Does anyone have photos of either of these they could share? :)

I sure do remember those DemonDroppin'. I recall images of Giant Wheel, Gemini, and Corkscrew on them. There were others with the "Amazement Park" logo as well. Walt brought up the parking lot markers in another thread, which I miss as well.

If you look closely at those trash cans, you can still see the old images underneath the current graphic (which is nothing more than a giant decal) Let's all go to the park and peel off those "stickers" and restore the trash containers to their former glory! :)

Well, the ones in Frontier Town have the Frontier Town "logo" on them...

If anyone has a pciture of Cedar Point trash cans, I bet it's Walt. I mean he took a picture of one of the bathrooms when they replaced the building. Now that's dedication! :)

Thanks kylepark for the link to that brochure. Wow, those old trash cans looked great! Alright, next time I get tho CP I'll see how many I can peel off before getting caught... Just kidding!
Speaking of trash cans, I've noticed at KBF that they are using the white trash cans with red tops all over the park which look a lot like the ones CP used in the 70's. Would they have sent them to KBF?

2,000 - that's how many trash cans are scattered throughout Cedar Point to help keep the park clean. Thats from the Cedar Point website. (not that it matters) :)

I only have like 50 in my RCT parks. Of course, half the trash in my park is puke. I don't see wh people complain though...

man that pic brings back memories. if u look at the CP employee he has on an old games uniform- white with red stripe across chest- and check out the blue and pink flags-1980's for sure, and check out the colors of the sky ride~I LOVE CP but help in that pic what is that ride the round one. At the front of the midway by the sky ride entrance-there was stroller rental, sneak peaks and a "chicken bbq patio" type resturant, then there is that round ride? and mill race right?? PLEASE REFRESH MY MEMORY in that pic

It is the Midway Carousel. After the 1993 season, the ride was moved to it’s current location on the Main Midway. Raptor’s entrance took over the spot and Midway Carousel was rebuilt with a new look.

I also remember walking down the trail by Thunder Canyon where there use to be a sign: FRONTIER TOWN up above.

One of the old "Wanted" Frontier trashcans is actually outside in the Commons complex.

Yeah, alot of the old trash cans are sitting in our employee areas (break areas and dorms). They're pretty interesting to see.

I think it's time for new decals on the trash cans. An ideal design could be what's on this sugar jar:
