Miss the giant Slide?

This was fun. Nowadays, except for the Ohio State Fair, you don't see much of these but in the 1970s they were everywhere.
Don't touch the slide or you'll get a friction burn...On your mark, get set, go!

I remember the slide. It was one of my favorite rides before they removed it.

One of my first rides ever at the park.... I miss it but there are things I miss a heck of a lot more.....Fascination.

Yeah, what Dan said.....exactly what Dan said!

Thank God Fascination still exists in San Francisco.

FASCINATION (1955-2000): It *was* the game--the ONLY game--I came to Cedar Point to play

I remember riding the slide as a wee thing. It was *so* much fun. My parents have old films of me going down it... ahh, good memories.

ONE freeway stamp a day... ONE

And *I* remember friction burns. I was such a lightweight that I got airborn on the second bump and came out of my burlap. Not fun.

Ahhhhhh, Fascination. I least I can still feed my addiction once a year at Indiana Beach.

I fool so feelish...

My mom worked on the slide back in the '70's

If you don't like it, Shut Up and don't get in line.

Wow, the slides were almost my favorite thing when I was little (besides Jr. Gemini). I really miss them alot!!

Hopefully employee housing supersivor, still waiting to hear from CP!!

Fascination also at Knoebel's.
I liked the slide a lot. For some reason I always enjoyed the arial view of the *shaded* mini golf course next to it with the little model of Demon Drop.

My sister got friction burn - my first and only visit to the first aide office!

LeSourdesville Lake has a slide.

Giant slides rule.

I don't think I've been on one since a trip to Belle Isle in 2000. The extended family and I took adjacent lanes for some rather violent slide racing. No one wanted to shove me or grab my shirt since I had 2 year-old CMidget in my lap....suckers.

Where was I? Oh, yes. Ride safely, observe all posted rules and kids--don't try this at home.

I remeber asking my parents if I could go on the slide back when I was almost three. My parents said no, since I would be too young at the time. I got angry when we went the next year only to find the slide was gone.

Wow how old is the combined age of the guys in this room!!! I'm just kidding I'm just being the teen everyone hates.
Hates? Naah, I wouldn't say that. We laugh at every sad guy that posts a thread in the meeting area looking for 'hot chicks'. Wait for the next guy who does it (because they will). You'll see.

Ha ha. You gave the best burns CoastaPlaya. You are a funny guy. But I'm really not that sad just trying.
You know CoasterKing, it's people like you that give teens like me a bad name.

And no, I have no memory of the giant slide. Poor me.

The Sky Slide is one of the things I miss dearly. Right up there with the Frontier Lift.
