I realize that today was only the second day of the season, but I was just wondering, for those of you who did go to the Point these past two days, how has TTD been behaving? I noticed today that TTD didn't open until around noon. Have the break downs been long and strenuous, or are they just minor 10 minutes waits?

If I remember TTD had a 2 or 3 hour breakdown from what I saw. I could be wrong. Something happened on maXair when I was in line that they had to run a couple of empties. Headac... I mean Meanstreak was down for a bit today. Chaos was also down but I'm not sure how long that lasted.
Wow.....several breakdowns today?! That is quite a bit. I really hope TTD cooperates for next weekend. Anybody else who has gone, see anything else not going too great?

Saturday, I was in at the 9 AM resort entry, straight to the TTD line. Two very minor breakdowns during that, both under 5 minutes I would say. Sunday, I went in at 10 (slept in, tehe) and everyone was in the line for the line (hadn't been open yet) and didn't seem to open until noon.
Every other time I've been there with it, it was either down all day/weekend/week, or just a quick 5-10 minute downtime. I think the longest I've had to wait (me sitting in line) was a 20 minute one, last season.
Oh and 4eva, it was only down once this weekend that I saw, not for too long (someone verify please?) *** Edited 5/9/2005 1:07:02 AM UTC by GeeForce***

It had two periods of downtime on Saturday evening while we were in line. One was the typical 10 minutes or so while the other lasted more like a half hour.

There were a few minor break downs (10-15 minutes) and a few longer ones (1-2 hours). I didn;t see many rollbacks, only 2, one of which I was on (the one around 9:30).

The floor wouldn't come up. About a 15 min. delay for the riders (I was on the ride), and then some empty cycles to test/work out the bugs.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Congrats on your rollback, Kyle!! I was quite happy for you when it happened.
Sunday morning seemed to be the longest breakdown for TTD, but there was another in the afternoon (we had freeway from 4-5 and it was down at 3:30 and came back up around 4:30).

I was at CP yesterday and TTD was down almost ALL day. When it finally opened, we got on, it launched about 4 trains, and it was down again until atleast 5 when i left the park. I dont believe there is any excuse for this. I have been patient the last 2 years, but they have now had more than enough time to fix this ride.

Did anybody else notice that one break fin that was up in the morning on opening day?
It was up for a while and then around 10:45 it was fixed. But I was stuck behind the fence so I couldn't see if maintenance was fixing it during one if the short dreakdowns.
So anyway.....did anybody else notice it?
Thats probably what Maintenance was constantly fixing all day. They continually went to the same spot when the ride broke down.

Same spot? No!
For those that got to experience TTD today (Monday), the ride was running exceptionally well! An overwhelming amount of "uptime" the entire day! Trust me, we want you to ride as much as you do!
TTD ran great on monday the crew was great adn in just 3 hours i had 13 rides it will get better give the crew a chance to get in the groove
I was there also they were doing such a great job. I got 14 rides in 4 hours.
First rollback on Dragster July 23 2003 since then 15
For their third day I guess you can say the crew was doing good. But come on, the ride was taking such a long time to load. Intervals remain the same as last year, 40-70 seconds in between each launch. The line was super short so there was no issue there.
No downtime or rollbacks that I saw, took a hour to open in the morning. The audio on the ride is skipping for some reason though.

It didnt take an hour all we waited for was for them to transfer that takes only five minutes. Remember they have to cycle all six trains then test ride all six trains. The first train rolled back in the morning testing twice and that hurt them having it ready for us when we got there. I thought they still did good for the little time they had. Plus they let us in as soon as we got there it has been a long time since we have seen that.
I read that in the trip reports. Sorry, I looked at the trains going over the tower and they looked empty. I guess I was wrong.

It did seem to run well on Monday. I wasn't there any of the other days and this is the first I've read about the other problems. From what I saw on Monday, I thought maybe CP finally had Dragster licked, but maybe not now that I read all this. It also looked like your crew was doing a good job Brian - hitting quite a few intervals. Glad to see that. :)
And to my name is sean, the park puts an extraordinary amount of effort into keeping Dragster running. So much that it probably hurts other rides. I don't really fault CP for the problems as much as Intamin. I can't believe someone else actually bought one of these things. All we can do is hope that somehow, they keep working at it and eventually get all the problems taken care of. But the thing is just so complex and poorly designed that it might just never happen no matter how much they try.
