Millennium Sufferes A Tragic Loss!

I was reading the Oakland Press this morning and I noticed a small article. It was about a young man who lost control of his sports car and smashed into a tree. It said 'He was returning home from a summer job at the Amusement Park Cedar Point where he was a ride operator on the Millennium Force'. 'Oakland township, Around 8:34 PM Tuesday night a 911 call came in saying a teenager was speeding and lost control of his car and smashed into a tree head on; It happened east of Woodward on 14 mile in West bloomfield township'.'The teenager was airlifted to the Univirsity of Michigan Trauma Center in Ann Arbor, MI'. 'The young man died around 1:20 AM Wednesday morning due to his injuries.' 'His name has not been realeased.'.................Wow, I was just there Aug 10th; I probably saw him.....Its too bad things like this happen........

Possible 2003 Ride Op?

Sadly I heared about it also...His name was Scott...I am still in shock...I found out from a few people here at CP today...I was also told there was going to be a closed funeral just for family on Thursday........Well, Keep updating us...

"I hate working here at Cedar Point, All we are here for is to please those party crashing guests"

Very, very sad. I lost an employee once while she was on the way to work and it is difficult for coworkers and managers to face that and continue working at the same time.
Such a tragic loss, my heart and prayers go out for the family. I guess this news really hits close to home as I was seriously injured in an auto accident when i worked at Cedar Point in 1999. The ER Doctors told me I almost didn't make it. I guess I should count my blessings. If anyone has any info on where or who a card can be sent to I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks much

Jay

This is horrible, I knew Scott, I worked with him on Wicked Twister before he transferred to MF. I hung out with him all the time outside of work..... I couldn't believe when I saw this on the site.. It is horrible.... I wish I could tell his family I am sorry for thier loss, but I left CP before I got his info. He was only 19, Just shows you how something can be taken away so quickly. Everyone please keep Scott and his family in your thoughts, I know I will. Scott was a fun guy to hnag around with. He will be missed by many.
