Millennium Mania Day one

WOW! THANK YOU CEDAR POINT. I will admit that at first I was mad that I would have had to pay $20 to go in the park to ride rides that I could ride any other time of the year. I would spend $50 to repeat the night I just had at Millennium Mania. All of those people (cough jeff & brandon) who can't see spending $20 for six hours of no lines in the park should stay home! IF you are the type of person who likes to spend more time riding than standing in line YOU MUST make plans to go to one of the other five days!!!!

Here we go;

After a recount I only needed 22 rides instead of the 25 to hit 1200 on Magnum. I got the 22 including three solo rides and about five rides in the front seat. (Magnum was running two trains by the way, they also took the sixth car off train two becasue of the problems with the axles, its a shame the greatest roller coaster in the world and they can't take decent care of the trains; its only a problem they have had I don't know maybe since they were testing the ride in late April) I got 11 laps on MF with one in the front seat. We took one quick trip to the front of the park to ride Raptor once.

Many people got over 30+ rides on MF. There were many times where Raptor, Magnum, and Mantis just sent empty trains, or trains with less than FOUR people in the entire train.

The Fridays will bring more lines but it is still worth the price. You MUST go to Millennium Mania, tell everyone you know, go and see and get to experience what I did tonight along with my brother, Hooper, and Steve!

OMG that is so COOL. I ordered my family's tickets tonight at 11 pm (9/06) I dont know when we'll go though. I am thinking Thursday!
No, don't tell everyone you know, keep it a secret :). Well at least wait until after tonight when I'll be going. Thanks for the report Dan, I wasn't sure if I really wanted, but its a no doubter now.
So, Dan...

How does Magnum run with five cars?

(Why did they pull a car from a working train instead of running the third train?)

Anyone going tonight??? I'm about to head up to Sandusky as I write this.. Gonna grab some lunch.. a fine, frosty, refreashing adult beverage or 4 and go and ride nothing but MF... I will easily hit my goal.. and maybe even double it if I hit a few more MM nights.

Looking for me?? Check The Red Garter...
We didn't run the train with five cars. It sat on the transfer track. :o)

Were you by any chance able to choose your seat on Millennium Force?

Dan if you want to keep crowds low, I wouldn't promote it like you just did.;) If the crowds remain this low for the rest of the week, CP will probably not do this again next year.

I want them to make it an annual event like Halloweekends, I hope enough people go to make it profitable so they will consider doing it next year.

I was at CP last night and I completely agree with Dan, it was well worth the $19. I got over 30 rides each on Magnum and MF. At first the ride-ops where making you get off and walk back on. But after a couple of hours they realized that their was not going to be any lines, so they just let you stay in your seat if no one was waiting. For MF they opened the little gate between the unloading and loading station. At one point I rode Magnum for 30 minutes without getting out of my seat! During the last hour I was able to get about 15 rides on MF. And the amazing thing was that all of the coasters where running two trains. Almost any other park would have gone with one train. I hope this does become an annual event. Does anyone have any idea how many people they have to have in the park to make money? I find it hard to believe CP made much profit from last nights event.
