Millennium Mania!

Guys, is it like REALLY THAT EMPTY there? I mean what are people doing!? You guys are making me TOO excited!!!!! I am going Thursday!! I already have 133 rides on MF!! Can I break 200!!?? Well it be empty on Thursday!?

133!? I am trying to brake the 20 ride mark! :) It seems like there is hardly anyone going to Millennium Mania. Probably because of school and it is not a normal operating day, the only way you could find out about it is if you went to the cp website. And the people that are going are probably no more then an hour away because if you lived 5 hours away and just wanted to go for the day, you would want to go for more then 6 hours and ride more then 5 rides. So it seems like thursday and any other day are gonna be empty. I can't wait to go on wednesday!!

We were there on the 7th. VERY EMPTY PARK! We rode MF 20 times and had the YELLOW train over & over. We got off the train, walked through the handi cap gate, and got right back on the SAME train. We rode Mantis and were the ONLY ones on the train. When we got back into the station, the op just asked if we wanted to go again. When we got up to Magnum, the op shouted, "PEOPLE!" It was nice... like a ghost town. The rides were all walk on. (Oh, we did have to wait for them to wash Raptor down after some one ralphed on the ole girl one time, but that was it.) I LOVED IT!

If the op was female...it was probably me who said that on Magnum lol...I remember actually doing that on Thursday hehe.

Short, petite, blonde? I was with my boyfrien & his best friend. Sat in the front row. VERY COOL. WE had the train to ourselves the first trip then picked up a lone guy who sat way in the back on the second trip. Very interesting to see ole Maggie that empty! :)

On Thursday, I encountered a couple I rode MF with in the spring. They are from Tennesse. On Friday, I ran in to a couple who said that they drove six hours to come to the MM event. Both trips saw a really nice group of people. As I said in my trip report, if you like power riding, go for this event.

All year long we complain about the long lines and large crowds. We get teased by those who know the higher-ups because we didn't get into Media day or a private outing for exclusive ride time. Then CP bends over backwards for us, the ride-loving general public. For a reduced price and a ban on season pass holders (to keep crowds light), they offer us the best season-ending gift: an empty park. Plenty of time to ride, ride and re-ride the best they have to offer. I can't thank the park enough for this opportunity.

BTW- I am a season pass holder and was NOT offended by the ban on passes if it meant lighter crowds... I just think of it as $.75 per ride on MF that night, well worth it.

Ok,,hearing all this good stuff is Really making me jealous. I wanna go soo bad!!!:(

Magnum-Just Ride It!!!

I'm so happy! I just made reservations for MM for tommorrow night!! WOOHOO! This is a dream come true if it turns out to be like everyone is saying, I'm pretty hopeful since it will be a wednesday. Now that I've thought about it, I'm glad they're charging the 19 dollars to the season pass holders (even though I have one), because otherwise half of Sandusky would probably show up. Thank you Cedar Point!
