Millennium Force Sign
Last year, I remember seeing the crusive "M" logo on the big Millennium Force sign, by the ride. It was painted a darker grey than the rest of the lettering. You can see what I mean in the gallery here http://www.guidetothepoint.com/thepoint/gallery/img.asp?img=cp00mfsign.jpg
I don't remember seeing that there this year. Does anyone know what happened?

That was a temperary "cardboard" or something similar sign. Once the real one was put in, it didn't have the cursive "M"...

I asked someone in park ops about that last year. They told me that it was never changed, but obviously it was! Why was it changed? I personally liked the first one better!

Yes, there was a sign in place at one time that had a script "M" over the top of the words. If you don't believe just head on over to the gallery and click on the picture entitled "The sign." This was a temporary fixture, though, and was not made of any type of permanent material (cardboard maybe?). It was used for media day and AAA Preview Day. Afterward, when the sign now in place was completed, the temporary one was replaced.

Actually, the temp sign was made of wood. It was just a big trapezoid, and didn't look all that bad for what I'm sure it cost.
