Millennium Force Rollback Prevention?

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know what safety mechanism MF has for not rolling back down the hill in case the elevator breaks? I know chain lifts have those "fins" on the bottom to catch the track if the chain breaks, and obviously TTD and Maverick have brake fins to slow rollbacks, but what about MF?

There is a magnetically controlled anti rollback. You can see the notches for it in the middle of the track, but the anti-rollback is held up by magnets so it doesn't make noise while the train is in motion.

The anti-rollbacks are tested everyday before the ride opens.A train is taken up the lift-hill and slowed down about 2/3Rd's up. The train is stopped and held by the anti-rollbacks for a short time then the train is restarted and taken over the top. Ride up front and you can see the notches on the other hills also.

There's some good info @ the first link here: http://tinyurl.com/2g3zk86

ROUNDABOUND.

The wife and I was on MF late friday night around 11'ish and we stopped right about were the lift seems to speed up. Was only stuck for 30 sec. or so, but it was kinda neat. Never been stuck on MF before. I have been stuck on other rides at the point for long periods of time, though.
