Here's some footage of MF when it first debuted. Can't believe this ride will be 15 this year.

Waited 2 hr and 45 min on AAA Preview Day, which was held a few days before Media and Opening Day. Totally worth it! :)
I went when I was still in High School and waited 3 hours with a completely full queue. I remember I had to pee really bad by time the wait was almost over.
I was thinking the same thing. It barely made it over that last hill. But I've found that POV videos never do a ride justice and they appear slower than they actually are.

Not that many people really had cell phones in 2000. I doubt anyone was really thinking much about it.

Ah yes.... AAA Day at CP 2000. I was there with three friends. Being the coaster guy of the three, I had us meet at the Marina Gate. When the park opened the running commenced. Of course, I get stuck with the smoker of the group. Two of my friends got 8th train out (front row) and I got 9th train out (front row). To this day they STILL remind me that they got to ride it before me!
I wonder if that is why I don't ride front row on MF that often.....LOL
Nice footage. The WEWS Video vault is always good for reminiscing escpecially for those of us born in the late 60s.
