You pull some pretty mean g's on that first banked turn. I've seen black spots (brown out) in my field of vision during that maneuver more than once. Or maybe that was a swarm of muffleheads!
I agree, that first overbanked turn has some awesome G's-I love the sensation you get going through that if you look down and behind you- and the hill crossing over onto the island has sweet floater air.
I would love to see it repainted though
I agree it would be nice to see a paint job on Millie! I know that that coaster gives me a rush every time I ride it!
Life is like a rollercoaster! It is full of ups and downs
Anything that is red-orange, is loud, is sinking, and built in 1989 sucks as well.......:)
Anything that is blue, huge, in need of a paint job, and is very smooth rules the point!!
I am with everyone else here (shocker! :p). Millennium needs a paint job, because blurple is not it's color. I do not remember if I read that on here or on another site, but I the member that I got that color from was spot on with the color Millennium is at the moment.
R.I.P. Mr. Scott
Millennium is a great coaster and yes it does need a paint job.
my fav. rides:
1) Top Thrill Dragster
1) M-Force
1) Maverick
i hope they do something to it and maybe they could patch up some of the holes in the seats too that would be nice
What? This is Top Thrill!?!?!? I thought I was riding Iron Dragon!!
[url][url]I think Millie needs a paint job too because this coaster is looking a little prettier right now! They just topped it off this AM. Thing of beauty huh?!?!

The only problem with repainting MF is that it seems like it would be the most expensive ride in the park to repaint (complex and long track) and after a not-so-great year and STR opening this coming season, I don't know if Cedar Point can handle repainting it financially.
Here is that reverse POV video of MF. It shows how bad that track has gotten and even some of the supports. I know paint is cosmetic but also a protectant against corrosion. I wonder how long they will let it get before painting and preserving such a large investment in the park. How long to you let your $25,000,000 purchase rust before painting it?
Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that MF could use a paint job because its close proximity to Shoot The Rapids, but from looking at the construction pics posted last week, it looks like Snake River Falls could use some refreshing too, if you are basing it on that aspect. Especially when you look at the supports in the picture showing where the new queue and entrance will be....

If the rumors are true, they wont put the money into freshening up SRF because it would be coming down in the near future. Just a rumor though.
I was the one who said that Mille should be painted because it being right next to the new shiny ride. Why have a ugly faded blue heap of steel right next to it? Wouldn't you want it to look nice?
Maybe they could only paint the areas on MF that can be seen up close by the public.
Let's Get Weird.
Has anybody seen any pictures or any kind of news of Millennium Force maybe being repainted for next year?
Nothing yet Shawn. But don't count it out since they don't normally release every thing they plan to do with their part of the capital investment. So even though STR is a BIG part of the investment, there's also the money going towards Breakers and other parts we don't know. I'm not saying Millennium isn't or is on that list of "to do's". Though I'd like to think that they'd let us know of something this scale much like they did with Magnums repainting.

Speaking of Millennium Force, I don't know if everyone got a chance to read this incredibly, lengthy review of it...

I got a kick out of it, but to be honest only read about half of it.
